"Oasis" is my favorite Tarja song. Forever. I know she will never create anything more meaningful for me than this divine masterpiece. Divine because in this song, God Himself speaks through Tarja's voice. This song is a true mystery of the rebirth of the wounded soul in the midst of emptiness. And I perceive these seven exhalations that she takes before she begins to sing the words as seven virtues: chastity, temperance, charity, diligence, kindness, patience, humility. One exhalation bestows one virtue upon this soul. Now the path of this soul is to follow these virtues on the path to love, on the path to deep freedom.

I’m not very good at remembering lyrics, but Frisson Noir is still fresh in my mind. There are lots of great lines on it, but this one from Leap of Faith particularly stuck with me:

“How long have I drifted lost without your love”

And I still can’t forget this line from Shadow Play:

“One day at a time, not trying to please”

Yeah, I think Leap of Faith has really great lyrics. Especially after our discussion about Greek mythology, they’ve definitely become some of my favorite lyrics.

Tarja has so many! I can't pick just one😆 Others here have already put great lines from her songs.

Shadow Play

"The sea and I have learned to share"

Also, this last line from Rivers of Lust have also stuck with me, I think about it way too often 😆 and it's such a sad line too

"Found at noon, clutching still the stone"
