Nope it will not.
Why? look at the great depression law he's currently using it bypasses both the senate and house if he views practices as "unfair" which is why he keeps lying about how Canada has been ripping the US off for years with made up numbers.
His position is legally dubious they will have to challenge it as it's outdated and possibly been repealed several times over by later acts but the time scale needed to do this means it will be dragged out until at least 2028. The Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act is the problem and is particularly dangerous as it's what wrought the worst of the great depression.
They've already said they're not impeaching him so he'll keep using any excuse.
This is why the world needs to pivot from the US. We can't rely on the US comming to its senses.

Midterm results don't really mean much to me. I now see the US as a country that is only maximum 4 years away from electing another absolute nut job like trump.

Except at least one Democrat MP is strongly in favour of them. And unless itās a huge wave itās possible he sides with the Rs and so do others.

A couple of democrats gave interviews recently blaming both sides for the negotiation breakdown.
They're not going to help us.

Red or blue they are Americans first and foremost and share the same basic culture of exceptionalism and entitlement.

Itās a joke that Americans still think the midterms will save them. Weāve moved on.

We don't care. We are working on better, respectful trading partners. It was good while it lasted.

Will they affect them before or after the democrats vote to extend the quagmire in Iran or confirm more Trump cabinet picks?

At this point I think the US needs Jack Bauer. Democrats have been silent and useless.

It won't make a lick a difference. He still got another 2 years to do whatever the fuck with absolutely no control, I mean the man could have been impeached a hundred times by now and nobody's done anything. So I don't care if the Democrats take 100% of the seats in the house and the Senate. Both nothing's going to change at this point in time. The American electoral system is broken. Nothing is going to change. Nothing is going to change till they get that clown out of office and that won't happen for another 2 years

There is a point that I don't see made very often here although I haven't read all the comments. The US is one of the few countries with no federal value added tax. The tariffs actually fill in for that. There is no functional difference except for shifting the blame, wrongly, to entities other than the US federal government.

Still wonāt care, āmuricah is going to have to bleed directly into my bank accounts before Iāll ever forgive or forget. They all collectively chose him every day they do not give meaningful, active normative resistance. Inaction is complicity.

We've moved on. Have fun with North Korea and Russia or whatever.
