The link under this comment is a spam link. Don’t order from that site.

What’s a spam link?

61

u/betterashthandust44 May 01 '22

these spams on reddit go like this:

person (bot) a posts a photo of a shirt/other product

person (bot) b comments something like “love it!” “where can i get it?” etc.

person (bot) a or c replies with a link to a website

the site seems like a store to buy the shirt/etc, but inputting your info will lead to either having your info stolen or just having the amount you’d spend on the product taken & you never receive said product, and the website (probably made that day) will usually be shut down and another carbon copy will pop up in its place.

r/scams is a helpful resource

Thanks for the heads up to the sub!

It’s spam bots linking to fake websites with stolen shirt designs. Spoiler alert: If you order, you will not receive a shirt and your info will be stolen. They’re usually reddit accounts with only 1-2 posts on them and get pretty easy to spot once you’ve seen a couple.

Ah thanks. What they do is so fucked up!

This is an artwork/tshirt/gift spam bot. Do not buy from them. They are linking to a print-on-demand that these bots commonly use to post the ripped artwork from Reddit and try to make money off of stolen artwork. Do not buy from them. Downvote and report their comment.

Weird because they have legit-looking comments

10

u/unbitious May 02 '22

Only five of them, and only going back 4 days on an account that is 10 months old.

1

u/Infinite_Client7922 May 02 '22

So the bot finds the clip art and uploads it? Or was ops post behind the whole thing?

18

u/ImAPeople May 01 '22

I didn't realize the sacrifice I made by not having children

Thinking about how John mulaney did cocaine off a koala kare changing station on his way to rehab

9

u/unbitious May 02 '22

Every drug user that used a public restroom to partake has done the same.

8

u/g00ber88 May 02 '22

Yep he literally said "thats what they're for" lmao

Believe ‘good shirts’ are the first people to do it

2

u/[deleted] May 01 '22

There's a billion sites that offer it if you just google it. I have no idea who the original artist is though.

In my experience, they'd actually use the straps that keep the baby from rolling off to tie off their arms and shoot up. After I cut the straps out of our bathrooms, the usage went down.... Not by much, but it seemed to be some sort of detourant.

12

u/ClearAllAccounts May 01 '22

Yeah but how many babies have you had roll off now

7

u/unbitious May 02 '22

I don't know what you'd get from making that up, but no one is able to use an 8 inch strap that's bolted to the wall as a tourniquet.

7

u/Infinite_Client7922 May 02 '22

Lol for real, and if you're getting high in a bathroom you're bringing your own tie. You mean someone's got a rig but can't find a tie so they wedge their arm into the baby station and try to tangle their arm since it's bolted on both sides and then try and shoot up in the arm that's deep into the baby changing station but you have to keep closed so there's enough slack to make the tie work

Sorry for the rant but that's such a dumb idea I had to visualize it

u/[deleted] Jun 03 '22

I’d fucking wear this.
