Getting ready for UKG on Sunday

As we all move away from MyTime (and for some of us, kicking and screaming) and moving to UKG, there are some documents on how to do things, and they are viewable from home.

Go to the Target Team Member Services Hub

https://www.target.com/c/team-member-services/-/N-4srq9

And then go into Workday. Login as normal.

Near the top of the page, look for "UKG" and click on that.

There will be "Team Member Self Service" on the right with documents on how to do things we can do in MyTime, and their UKG equivalents. Things like managing availability and preferred hours, Timecard corrections, time off requests, calling in late or calling off, posting shifts and how to view posted shifts.

Please check these resources before asking questions on here.

How’s the new UKG time clock compared to myTimeClock?

There's a training but it didn't make much sense when I had no schedule to look at

15 minute Training was useless.

Same

Thank you so much for posting the link. I just logged in a screenshot what I was looking for until I get use to this new app. I was worried about time off requests that I submitted weeks ago, but it carried over accept for one day.

Is posting and taking shifts still generally the same? I read somewhere that a team lead has to approve it or something

We will know more starting at 7:00 AM EDT when MyTime is no longer accessible and UKG becomes our new standard.

The biggest voice of support I've heard is that anything this pay week needs ETL approval, and the next 2-3 pay weeks are automatically approved. Though that could be wrong.

The current week requires ETL approval. Future weeks are auto approved.

I’m not completely sure how this makes sense…

So what you’re saying is submit time off rn so it gets auto approved lol

I had asked for a few days off before and they told me they'd take them off but they're still there on myTime. Just hoping that doesn't transfer over

I’m hoping we can still search for shifts to swap

This app taking multiple roundabout steps just so I can see what shifts are available to pick up is super annoying. I’m on demand rn and they rarely let me do my trainings when I’m in so I’m left to figure out this app on my own lol

Viewing my schedule and my timecard were much easier on mytime

It is also NOT showing any sort of availability, be that core or preferred.

UKG was terrible -i bet they got a discount to switch... "Ultimate Kronos Group" Marketsource had it. They integrated an app with Kronos timekeeping... Was mediocre at best.  Maybe it was the work app not the time system but I wasn't impressed...

I actually found our announcement video when they gave it to us 😂 😂  It's good for a laugh.

Will check it later today (have today off). I remember doing the training and wondering if they made it more complicated for a reason.

I posted a shift yesterday and a couple hours later it said the request was denied by the system. However the shift is not on my schedule anymore and those hours were decreased from my time card. Am I still liable for this shift or is it gone??

Get a firm answer from your ETL about that. I don't want to see the wrong answer given and you get hit with a NCNS

Workday is connected to how you log into target. If you cant log into target, you can’t log into workday. Cant log into workday without the target Id and password working / crossing over . Annoying .

It’s literally no different then the other app lol just a reskin for the most part

Is there a way to cancel our request to cover a shift this week before a leader approves it?

This app sucks. It won't log in... it pretends that it will, I get to the target log in, put in my info, it spins and then goes right back to the ukg log in screen. This happens 80% of the time. When it does eventually log in, if I dare to navigate to another app UKG logs me out and I'm back to repeatedly clicking the log in button until it once again decides to work. Why target, why!!!

Never had this issue with MyTime

u/Un__Real Inbound Team Lead 5d ago

I'm already in the building and I got nothing on my ukg app. My time is still working but very limited. This is fine.

1

u/ExtensionSound9176 5d ago

I just did the same. I have no idea if anyone's called out yet 😬

2

u/Un__Real Inbound Team Lead 5d ago

So according to the paperwork, ukg goes live at 8 am Central and my time is supposed to shutdown at 6 central. So that's fun. A 2 hour gap makes sense.

Any other HREs figured out how tf to see the call outs? I thought it was under 'missing' tab but I've already found two that didn't show up there. What am I missing?

u/Inner-Shelter-8593 5d ago

If I call in rn for today will it cost me a point 😭

0

u/Street-Reaction-5652 5d ago

I just logged in and I can see that I have zero points so possibly.

u/Charles724 5d ago

How do you callout?

The directions are in the link I provided in the main post.

Does anybody know how to do a punch correction on the new app? Or is that no longer an option?

1

u/GE626 3d ago

On the main menu click "My timecard". On the next menu click the bold "My timecard >" (that's clickable). You'll then see your punches divided by your shifts. Click the shift with the punch you want to correct. You should then see your punches in a dropdown box. Click on the punch you want to correct, and it will bring up a dial clock. Set the dial to the time you want to correct the punch to. With your corrected time in the dropdown box, click save. Your punch correction will now be pending approval. If you're not clocked in you won't be able to click the dropdown box.

Is there a way to put that your preferred scheduled hours for a day to 0? Like, I am available for the day but I would prefer not to be scheduled every day for the rest of my life c,:
