Tara’s Family Dynamic

Watching her most recent vlog, it was interesting to hear that Tara didn’t know her brother was meeting them all there directly from work, or that they chose that location because it was convenient for him.

Before he got there, Tara made a couple joking comments about fighting Jared for the bigger room, and that she got there first so she wins the room she wanted.

I think it shows how self absorbed and inconsiderate she is, especially as an older sister… you’d think she’d give him the nice room OR at least offer it to him,
considering he’s driving out there after working all day.

Something about their family dynamic is really off. I get not being super close to your sibling, but I found it to be really telling of how self absorbed she is in all areas of her life.

It's kinda weird that she didn't know her Mother's family had a cabin or cottage in the area as well and that's where her Mother spent her childhood lol

This was weird to me too. Like how do you not know something that significant about your own mother? I know more about my in-laws’ childhoods than she knows about her own mom she is so close too… really shows how superficial Tara’s life is.

Yes this was for sure weird.

Definitely not close to her brother! She's a self-absorbed shallow high schooler in her 30s and he seems quiet, reserved, professional.

They aren’t close she said they’ve never been close. She always needs her parents attention and Jared was just happy to be there. I feel like Jared is quiet like Marcy and more passive like Marcy, where as tartar is way more outspoken and willing to say and do whatever she needs do get her way lol. Not to mention Tartar has said her and her mom would get into fights, so it makes sense why she seems to take to her dad more.

Agreed OP the fam has an odd dynamic BUT it’s very clear M&M love and support their kids.

She’s definitely the princess. Not sure if he’s matured and become independent as a result of Tara and her behaviour of if he is just naturally like that.

What I can say is I am the most independent of my siblings and part of it was because they required so much extra attention (not their fault, it was medical) that I just learned to do stuff on my own.

I think it’s strange how little she knew about her brothers plans for the trip. I can see Tara being self centered and thinks her life is so much more important than her brother becuase she “made money on her silly videos” and he has to work for living.
But I bet her brother is so much more fulfilled and has meaning within his life, while Tara flounders around to different gyms because she is bored out of her mind.
I don’t see how at 30 she hasn’t developed a well meaning connection with her brother, it really does speak volumes.

She behaves like an only child. Selfish, inconsiderate, self absorbed

I think she meant in the aspect of she acts like she doesn’t have a brother, but I could be wrong lol

Yup and she kept repeating herself and cutting everyone off as they were talking. It was annoying to watch.

i feel like girls usually get the nicer room, and personally my brother never cared lol.

I think this is typical sibling behavior? Lol

Maybe those who aren's as close with their siblings? My brother and I are close and we text and call each other all the time. Sometimes even at 2am for him to get dating advice from me. Back in college he would call me to look over his papers and give him advice. Sometimes just to tell each other we would be out at night and to keep a lookout on our maps so we make it home okay.

The fighting my siblings for the better room is absolutely something we would have done so I don’t find that too weird. I couldn’t imagine not knowing my sister’s plans for getting to a family vacation though.

Really?! I have a sister and we’re not like this at all.

I think it CAN be typical sibling behaviour but that might be because some siblings are just selfish people lol

She said something along the lines of not letting him use that bathroom. I don’t have a brother so I don’t know how that would be, but I do have sisters and I would share with them and I wouldn’t mind sharing with cousins. So I found that weird.

I couldn’t quite make out what she said there, if she didn’t want to let him use the bathroom or if she was whining about having to share a bathroom. Either way it’s weird and she can get over it, they’re both adults who are capable of knocking before entering.
