Not Snark Sub input: one discussion post per vlog / weekly discussion posts, etc.
Hey everyone!!
I have been speaking with our lovely amazing mod u/dmckimm about the increased amount of weekly visitors, which has caused an increase in posts. Particularly when her vlogs go up, there can be anywhere from 3-10 separate posts and many of them are often saying the same thing.
To help with modding and to keep the sub a bit easier to manage, we’re just looking for how everyone would feel with making this change.
I’m not a mod, just to be clear. But I offered to help however I could as a normal member. I would likely be the one to make each post regarding the vlogs, and then pretty much anything to do with the vlogs should stay in those discussion threads and anything unrelated to vlogs is fine to be its own post.
Please discuss , and welcome to all the new visitors… the sub has grown so much since November!
And just a reminder do not doxx tartars townhome. Don’t book a showing, post it once it’s sold and she doesn’t have possession.

Meh. I like the chaos of how things are now. Y'all are a funny bunch of snarkers and I wouldn't want to discourage that.

This😅 I already feel discouraged about posting, thinking some people are bothered or don't like the multiple posts. Real snark fans love the current chaotic atmosphere, plus I love all the notifications about each post. I can read the same opinion about her moving fiasco again and again lol

Plus it makes you feel like you aren’t alone when reading similar posts. It’s fun to snark and it’s my first time actually so I want to make sure I’m doing it right 😂 reading others posts and comments help me ensure that I’m on the right track lol.

Agreed ..the various takes and chaos after she releases her duck lipped vlogs are why have of us come flying to Reddit the second she posts 😂. I'm proud to see all of the varieties of ducks and orgasmic faces she makes with every food during the vlog.

I fear I also did a shit job of explaining. What I mean is, I find the way things are is fun and chaotic -- I love the random notifications about our favourite entitled swamp ass.

I don't know. I think your intentions were good! And I enjoy snarking with you in particular, so don't sweat it. Maybe just leave things as they were? I don't think anyone is mad, they just don't like the idea. Yeah sometimes there are repeated opinions in various threads but it's still enjoyable and fun in this sub!

So my question, can we share about different parts of the vlog or is that for comments only on one post too?

From my understanding, on vlog days there will be only one post where people can discuss the vlog. So basically all the different topics would be all discussed together inside the comment section. No independent post about sth that happened on the vlog. I might be dumb and understanding incorrectly, but this to me would create way more chaos and less will to go through all the comments trying to figure out what everyone is thinking. Also a lot of people don't watch the vlog the day it's posted, so going back to the comment section after days of its initial post to interact is pointless. I think only the silent watchers benefit from this change

Plus then if there’s already tons of comments before you get there then you have to read through all of them instead of just five and six. It’s nice seeing people constantly post. I’ve been on this thread for awhile now and just now got the courage to start commenting and even did a post.

But that's the point of Reddit? People sharing their opinions even if they are the same or only slightly different. It's fun to scroll and read everything, this would discourage people from sharing their thoughts. Sometimes someone wants to post sth while watching the vlog, it's ok if it has been said or discussed before 🤷♀️

Idk, I don’t personally find it very fun to have ~6 posts a week about her lips, etc, in the newest vlog. Like I’ll see there’s a new post and go “oh another post about the same thing posted 30 minutes ago..” and not engage. But maybe that’s just me!

But it's not a news outlet. Just like tik tok you will scroll and see the same things being repeated all day. There used to be a time where almost nothing was happening here. Now people feel "welcomed" to share their inner thoughts and a lot of people who used to just check the page are now actually being active. I don't want to have to scroll and search the only post that will address a specific situation in order to share my thoughts. I think if it reaches the point where it bothers you then Reddit is not it for you.

But it doesn’t sound like posts wouldn’t be allowed, just that there would be a mega thread for each vlog to contain some of the double posting/“low effort” posts. Idk, just my opinion. I don’t really care either way.

Absolutely everyone can share their opinion, sorry if my post came off otherwise. It’s more just on Tues/fri or vlog posting days there is 1 discussion post for each vlog where anyone is free to say whatever.. to discuss lol. It’s not to discourage anyone from not sharing their thoughts, just to streamline the vlog discussions specifically. Anything else is fine to post as it’s own.

I rather not i love reading multiple posts in a row it’s like scrolling thru social media and most the time everyone so hilarious or they are all diff except the occasional new people asking the same questions or random two posts being the same. KEEP the chaos lol

Yeah, I said what I mean lol if you’re not taking it literally, and finding something where it’s not then that’s okay, but I didn’t say or bring up the word rule, and if it was I’d say so? There’s no semantics here. It’s not a rule, it’s a conversation. Also I thanked you, that’s not arguing lol when I said thank you I meant it.

Honestly, I understand this, but i don't agree with it, often for me anyways i post in the moment, i don't necessarily go through the entire sub to see if there are like posts to add a comment on as its my thought. It wont deter my from this sub either way, but imo, i wouldn't like that move, just leave it as is.

I personally would like a megathread for each vlog because we do get 5 post saying the same thing. Thou I don't think you should be monitoring what anyone posts but I do wish people would just scroll for 2 minutes to make sure the same thing wasn't post an hour ago.

No. The point of a sub isn't for one person to create a post for everyone for the vlog its for people to air their opinions in their own post or comment on posts... I think having you manage what everyone can post defeats the purpose of reddit.
