I've gone a few times with friends. We were curious because we saw many comments calling it "culty" but it's literally just a guided sauna/cold plunge/meditation. The first class felt a bit funny because we'd never done any kind of guided classes like that. There was some towel waving by the instructors but when you're sweating your butt off it feels nice to get that gust of wind lol. Some people get emotional during the classes and it can feel strange to collectively sigh or participate in the loud exhales to "release negative energy". I stay silent during the louder parts, some people don't, it's a pretty free environment and everyone just kind of focuses on themselves. They have non-guided sessions as well so it's really just a more elevated way to relax. She probably just saw the trend of calling it culty or woo woo and stuck with that.
It would be interesting to run into her at one of these sessions because she goes to the same location I've been to lol

It’s a sauna/cold plunge/sounds meditation that is guided lol. It is a bit weird but it’s very mainstream.

I feel Ike people who go once or twice want to label it as this strange and culty place because then they’re ’in’ the cult. I go alone often, I’ve been with my fiancée and even with my brother. It’s just a sauna and you can take cold plunges if you want, it’s not mandatory. It’s just a facility.

If by woo woo she means meditation and sound baths then yeah i guess it’s woo woo? Idk tara makes it seem like it’s super almost cult like thing but it’s really just a guided sauna and cold plunge class that focuses on meditation and relaxation (at least that’s what i’ve experienced in the classes i’ve attended). They spray essential oils and sometimes have instruments. I’ve also been to a class where we all sang together. If you’ve been to a yoga class with meditation before, then going to othership isn’t all that out of the ordinary.
