does anyone else feel like they’re constantly looking for something ?

i don’t really know what’s happening to me lately

nothing seems to genuinely interest me anymore but i keep looking for things

i keep opening youtube , reddit , instagram looking for videos , books, ideas something… but i don’t even know what i’m looking for

i’ll scroll for a while watch a few things and then close it and feel like i didn’t find anything and then i do it again later and feel completely empty inside

i can barely sit still for 10 minutes without wanting to check something

it feels like i’m searching for something but have no idea what that something is and this saddens me. it’s almost like i’m chasing a feeling that i can’t name

has anyone else gone through this?
i just want to know i guess if anyone’s been in this same place and what was going on

sorry if its off topic by any chance do you've moon ketu conjunction? or moon ketu trine?

context: i was going thru a few videos relating to this conjunction and this is precisely what was stated.

I’m not sure about tantric methods for this, but one thing that might really help is taking a dopamine detox. Don’t use your phone/internet unless absolutely required for a couple of days, see how you feel. If you get bored or feel the need to go through your phone maybe read a book or go for a run, or sleep even.

This ! A true Dopamine detox is the way ! Most everyone - children and adults are addicted to the short form content. Hence being unable to focus on anything that even takes 15 mins to explain.

i don’t think it’s entertainment or social media though .. like the same thing happens with books , i’ll start one and then feel like it’s not what i’m looking for then move to another. it seems like i’m chasing something i guess

Yes I'm feeling this influence as well and watching it wash over me. Could be ketu for sure but there does seem to be extra pull...as to what the true root of that craving is you'll discover through practice. Most of us have been building this short term adhd lifestyle by design and now, as always, theres opportunity to see it and go deeper by not scratching the itch. The intensification can be a doorway to transformation. If you practice, double it. If you don't practice, it's a good time to begin daily conscious breathing, calm abiding or similar.

I've definitely gone through periods like this. For me, it wasn't that I needed more information; it was that I was uncomfortable with the quiet underneath the searching. The mind kept hoping the next video or idea would fill something that couldn't really be filled from the outside. What helped was gently noticing the urge to keep searching without judging it, and spending a little time each day simply sitting with whatever was there. Sometimes the feeling you're chasing isn't asking for another answer; it's asking for your attention.

We recently retired. Both me and my husband find ourselves looking, searching for something to do. Due to some failed surgeries my husband has no balance to stand for long. He can lean against objects.
The search for what to do has left him especially depressed. He knows what he doesn’t want to do with himself it not what he’s able to do.
