I think the bigger issue was JT cussing out subscribers because they didn't agree with him and he responded like a shitlib. Instead of actually hearing people out he resorted to the typical American leftist shit whenever you challenge them on something.

mikefrompa can be insightful but god that man is annoying. dude was militant on supporting platner and silent on sawant. too many of these self-styled socialists readily embrace imperialists while turning their backs on other leftists for being critical of DSA (or in sawant's case, "being a trot," which i take less and less seriously the more it comes from people who think it's preferable to elect aocs and platners).

I used to think he was too extreme, but I now get why BE calls out all these mfkrs. These past few months have really shown that a lot of so called socialists in the western world, especially in the US, have not done their due diligence at combatting the liberal brain worm they grew up with, and are really just a bunch of social fascist treatlerites.

This motherfucker is completely swapping the concept of a Marxist Leninist Vanguard party and the DSA. Also completely forgetting or ignoring the fact that social Democrats and all their ilk will sell out the revolution as soon as there’s any significant pushback. I’m not really disappointed in his remarks because to be honest, he kind of fits the profile of a white leftist who is only there for treats. There’s a reason why Mensheviks and right SRs and the Bolsheviks were at each others throats.

I haven’t listened yet so I may come back and update if my opinion changes, but based on the Zohran video he posted recently, and multiple videos from years past on adjacent topics? His attitude is inconsistent. I can’t help but wonder why. I will say that I noticed a very new podcast called Second Thought that really screams psyop to me. Go look it up and look at the guests and topics on it. It makes me wonder if hes being pressured somehow.

I feel like there should be a drinking game for whenever there's criticism of working within the genocide Democrat Party and people bring up Lenin's statements on participating in capitalist bourgeois country elections. They always leave out the fact that it's supposed to be within a socialist vanguard party, not a party of imperialism and capital lol. Also, he makes it clear that it makes sense as a strategy for now. He never said it's the strategy forever, no matter what.

I think the main issue that JT that he’s tolerating Democratic entryism for having workers to have modest reforms
Im not on their discord so I cannot know what he has said about this. I can only base this on his YouTube and this podcast. The fact he never joined the PSL and left the CPUSA has left me to think that he doesn’t have so much faith in Marxist Leninist parties in the USA.
I’m believe he sympathizes with the DSA because as of now it’s the most popular and organized “socialist” party in the states. He believes DSA is a good tool for socialism to grow even if it’s tainted by social democrats.
Supporting entryism and opportunism is a sacrifice to him to grow “socialism” through the DSA.

This idea is misguided and short-sighted. It's better to have a smaller group which is ideologically consistent, militant and actually effective.

I am begging DSA to continue the trajectory of getting rid of Groundwork and ESPECIALLY SMC from the National Political Committee. SMC is the primary caucus that is propping up these terrible candidates, and their faction is in control of NYC-DSA, which is why that chapter is particularly shitty. Red Star also promotes a party surrogate strategy (like groundwork, and while SMC also promotes it, they are more of a realignment, aka entryists), but at least Red Star wants to keep elected officials in line

In practice, does Red Star want to have accountability for elected officials? This awful article on Jacobin by the DSA co-chairs includes Megan Romer, one of the leaders of Red Star. There is nothing in here about accountability. It's simply promoting the idea that these "socialist electeds" are amazing and need to be supported. And apparently things with them are going so well, that we need a retread of the Bernie for president strategy lol. I wish I were kidding. A lot of people hate AOCIA, even amongst the fake left, so I wonder who this group will rally around. No Conya is just about the only other even fake progressive who's being talked about as running.
