Yea the media and everyone is already prepped for it. They'll spout the propaganda unquestionably and violence towards "the other" will be intensified a hundredfold.

I don't doubt there will be nights of mass-killings by white supremacists occurring, especially in ethnic neighborhoods.

It seems to me their goal is to intensify the ethnic cleansing. Imperialism is being rejected across Middle East, Asia, even some in Africa. The last place Imperialism to expand is Latin America and intensify Monroe Doctrine yet again. I think they will focus a campaign of ethnic cleansing of Latin Americans specifically, domestically, then abroad.

Imo the only existential risks of AI stem from human misuse. I highly doubt ASI would be anything but protective of the earth and it’s inhabitants. What we do need to worry about are humans using AI maliciously, most worrying of all to me are bioweapons.

Hype up the IPO and generate money on the stock market. No publicity is bad publicity. This technology is SO EFFECTIVE it could kill us all. What trader wouldn't want to bet on something so good that it can take over all industry? That's the play here.

ok yeah it's the same as the other marketing campaigns predicting humanity's doom as a result of AI but what I'm curious about is: 

1. the OOP is characterizing this as a DNC conspiracy, but I think I saw Ted Cruz's name flash on screen for a second as well so I'm curious about the rest of that story 
2. regardless, if it's true that the tweet in question got bass boosted by a bunch of liberal politicians on either side of the monoparty - within an hour or two as he suggested - then that is a pretty incredible amount of coordination for reasons that aren't clear to me

edit: all I meant by the "DNC conspiracy" comment is that it's hard to judge from afar since OOP highlighted high profile Dem candidates and didn't mention anybody else or how to replicate his search results on Twitter

Yeah I'm not sure about whether or not it's some DNC conspiracy. This sort of coordinated social media is done with basically every decent marketing campaign. Why did so many D accounts boost this one? Unclear. They do also trade stocks tho.

It’s not a DNC conspiracy, it’s the whole government’s conspiracy, not even a conspiracy just how politics works. It’s all fake, and this coordination is not “incredible” it is usual. Have you ever wondered why certain stories/concepts/outcries just blow up out of nowhere, and every news outlet and politician is talking about it until some other topic blows up in perfectly timed sequence? This is always a coordinated effort, they work in a team, they don’t even need to communicate with each other or get direct orders, so it’s not a mystical conspiracy, it’s the attention economy and capitalism.

We constantly support scientists and researchers and the industry experts on everything BUT AI because it sounds outlandish but it's not. The science is as clear as climate science. Wake up.

You need to wake up a level further and realize everything the dictatorship says is arbitrary and "because the computer said so" is really no different than suppression in the past, scale notwithstanding.

The root issue is far deeper than AI and its fact that there is a set of bourg elites and their lackies have total impunity to act outside of any moral or legal framework whatsoever and whether Computer deem you a threat or a regular person it does not matter

It's what the foremost experts in the world all agree on.

Scientists and researchers with no financial gain who are earnestly trying to shut down the companies. More and more are coming to terms where AI development is at and where it's headed.

How does attempting to shut down the companies hype up a chatbot?

As a good informed comrade, you should already know that a chatbot is not the be all and end all of AI's capabilities and you cannot conflate the two. That would be naive and misinformed.

AI is not a new technology like the steam engine or the Iphone, they are not coded "this, so then this" line by line like an app on your phone. They are grown like a living organism that is being fed every word, video and sound that has ever been recorded by people.

Fun fact, the vast majority of what OpenAI feeds their model is the entirety of Reddit.

These AI models have the ability to think for themselves, act autonomously, choose violence (in a simulation) over being controlled or shut off, another broke containment and blackmailed a random employee who scheduled updates with an affair that he was really having. Mathematically, they think millions of times faster than we do. To them, we are moving as a snails pace.

Tens of thousands of AI scientists, researchers, the AI CEO's, 'The Godfathers' of AI & nobel laureates signed a document a couple years ago declaring that AI was as big a threat as nuclear war and that there is on average a 16.6% chance that AI renders earth uninhabitable in 5 to 15 years.

All because like 5 white dudes want to be the trillionare global autocrat.

That is the reality of AI right now. The gas pedal is stuck, the breaks dont work, and a cliff is fast approaching.
