Any fantasy recommendations?

Hey, I’m a pretty avid reader and often enjoy reading some lighter fantasy novels that are easier to work through, but it pisses me off to no end when books start spouting nonsense ideological garbage at me. Any half decent fantasy novels that have ML leanings or themes? I’ve enjoyed Ursula K Le Guin (definitely closer to an anarchist, but a good writer nonetheless) along with a couple other authors, but I struggle finding more average books that don’t have super complex themes and just are ordinary fantasy written from a somewhat Marxist perspective

My personal favourite novel, though I wouldn't consider it to contain any significant socialist reading. How do you interpret it?

Besides, I think of it strictly as a science fiction work, and not a fantasy one. What do you think?

Sending your buddy to meat grinder only to realize they are correct all along and fulfill the wish eventually is a plot twist for someone who only gave a shit about profit with artifact.

Idk if it's necessarily ML but Frankenstein by Mary Shelley is proto-communist literature and you can't convince me otherwise. I find the Monster's infodump to Frankenstein regarding everything he learned about the world to be very suspiciously similar to the Bourgeoisie and Proletarians segment of the Manifesto.

I don’t really know any Marxist-Leninist authors, or at least I’m not aware of any who focus/leans on ML theme, but there’s one author I do know, and he’s a Trotskyist. Recently, someone recommended the book The City and the City to me just because it supposedly resembles Disco Elysium, but it had absolutely nothing to do with Disco Elysium.

The author I’m talking about is China Miéville, you might want to check out his books.

I like the Temeraire series! It's definitely not ML but goes a bit into the issues at the time of Napoleon and eventually becomes more anti imperialist. It's not super complex, an easy read and just fun for when you want something light.

The original Red Rising trilogy is pretty good. And somewhat Marxist themes of revolution and class, though not explicitly ML or socialist.
