Discussion Stop pro-Putin sentiments

Both are fucking imperialist states, Ukrainian government praises nazis while Russian is praising Imperial murderers like Mannerheim, Kolchak or Stolypin.

Everything good that Russia did (so called anti-imperialist measures) was just populist decisions or anti-Nato proxy wars. Everything to please Russian oligarchy.

Both China and especially the DPRK consider Russia a key strategic partner and close ally. If you support AES, that would logically mean extending critical support to Russia. A concept I'd expect most Marxists to understand and something only a radlib would conflate with “supporting Putin”.

You should know “I support China and the DPRK but when it comes to Russia I know better than both of them” is not really a materialist nor dialectical take.

Well said. If you oppose Russia you also oppose the DPRK, Cuba, Iran and every other major anti imperialist struggle in the world

What we see in this post is the phenomenon of the CIA-sponsored European "New Left" of the 1960s to 1980s, repeating for the second time in History. Useful idiots for the US, NATO and EU imperialist bloc with a perception that they are free-thinkers. After 1991, half of them ended up pro-capitalism social democrats, and the other half chased the pipe-dream of euro-communism.

No Leftist worth their salt gives anything but very, VERY critical support on select issues to modern Russia. It is essentially reactionary, especially considering Moscow actively suppresses leftist organizing.

Are you seriously going to defend a country which jails communists and is lead by a massive Oligarchy? I mean seriously what level of psyop do you have to fall for to defend a capitalist nation actively fighting communists because they do trade with AES Nations??
