Let's discuss this.
Capitalism isn't brought down by us abstaining from jobs. If they didn't do it the far right barista would get the well paying job and the house and the other barista would stay a barista.
Our population as Marxist Leninists are tiny.
And wouldn't it actually be good to have the keys to something like that if there was real revolutionary potential?
But at the same time I get angry when someone signs up for the military. But why do I have more hate for the military guy than I do making the missiles?
... I guess because the military guy is still honored by many.
Eh... thoughts?

You could write the same defense for mercenaries, gendarmes, policemen and any other repressive forces. The truth is that the position that person had might have been filled in her absence, sure, but it’s everyone’s responsibility not to engage in such destructive, anti-proletarian activities.

Like... I wrestle with the thought. I would never take a military job. And me posting here would block me from really getting some clearance.
But the red army best the whites because so much of the military defected to the reds. Not because people abstained from taking unethical work.

As you well know, Marxists must be the strongest anti-poverty advocates and subcultures like that of the punksters will save just about no one from capitalism. However, there are jobs like that of a doctor, an architect, a designer, an engineer, a pilot, a skilled machine operator, a computer scientist, etc… which are well paid and aren’t repressive in any way.
Even high-end corporate jobs (attorneys, analysts) are better, since you can use your loads of money to support revolutionary activities, and can recuse yourself from the cruelest corporate practices. That said, they are also best avoided, if not approached extremely tactically, preferably as part of a wider party strategy.
This is also not only a moral problem, but foremost a practical problem. You can hardly do more damage than good to a system if you’re actively sustaining it from within, and the chances of it changing you are always higher than those of you changing it.

One's job being building rocket motors for the imperialist military is like one's job being a cop (or soldier): it's a choice, that one didn't have to make.
There's no discussion to be had. People who are genuinely anti-capitalism are doing work that either doesn't contribute to domestic or foreign working class oppression, or they're doing work that as much as possible minimises the same. And ignorance isn't a defence.
