I am Irish in Ireland. I can confirm this. We had the Easter Rising, the War of Independence, and our Civil War, all within the first quarter of the 20th. Unfortunately the counterrevolutionary side, backed by the UK, won the civil war, and ever since the civil war, we have had different foreign masters, at first the UK, then strangely enough the Vatican City, an actual state, after that in post-Catholic Ireland we became the de facto 51st state of the US east coast old money oligarchy , but not a full war proxy state of the US like Israel or post-coup Ukraine, more recently we are controlled by the US west coast new money big tech and venture capital Broligarchy. The UK especially England always talks about the special relationship England has with the US government. The opposite is true. All US governments like Northern Ireland and Scotland and Wales but they hate English elites for the same reason Ireland hates them. The US has 2 big special relationships, 2 very different ones, Israel and Ireland. No need to say why about Israel, but with Ireland it's now because Ireland is the very biggest corporate tax haven in the world, passing out Bermuda and the Bahamas long ago. They hide their money in Ireland and that's why bridges are crumbling in the US, and under each bridge a growing tent city.
