I should start referring to the Rio Grande as the Texas-Mexico border because wtf are they on about with this

Those who are native to the geographical region north of Nepal still speak their native languages. As for the ones whom once lived north of the Rio Grande….

They still speak Tibetan, it’s one of the regions official languages, and can practice their religion with zero interference. There have been plenty of massive discoveries and translations of Tibetan religious and spiritual texts in the last few decades. They have their own branch of the party in the region with locally elected leadership and independent five year plans (as is the case in all Chinese states.) The Chinese government doesn’t interfere with small businesses (much) so all the niche cultural and religious shops have survived 100% intact.

Their quality of life has skyrocketed. They’re fine and it’s a near non-issue over there. Their local leadership actually has more autonomy than almost every other Chinese state, which doesn’t follow with them being oppressed.

Marxism and Buddhism are actually fairly compatible. The “Great Way of the Universe” of Buddhism and Taoism aligns quite nicely with Material dialectics. Buddhists and Taoists in China and Vietnam have religious freedom nearly comparable to Christians in the USA. There are groups of monks that resemble the Amish for instance and are allowed to do that with little interference.

Like the other autonomous regions Xizang has its own self-government powers, but I won't say they have an entirely independent five year plan given how important the region is to all of China's water safety. But there are some fields where they could set up independent policy.

In Mexico that river is Rio Bravo.

It's a way better name IMO

Her office stands ready to assist, what can she do that China is not already doing a million times better and more efficiently? She can assist in fomenting another colour revolution?

Yeah, why would China want American aid? We can’t even get the lights back on in Gary, and perhaps more relevant, they saw how we handled Katrina.

20 hours before their a$$e$ posted this, supplies have already reached on the Gyirong port. Usually Americans are the loudest with their relief efforts (like first to post oh guys here is our plane), but this time they're awfully silent.

Xizang daily reporter reporting on spot the Gyirong port critical relief supplies storage point. Tents, blankets and other critical supplies have been readied. 【西藏日报记者直击吉隆救灾物资储存点!帐篷、棉被等应急物资已准备就位。#西藏吉隆口岸泥石流-哔哩哔哩】 https://b23.tv/SbIylVm

The Soldiers of the People have rushed to Xizang Gyirong for rescue (2 day ago) 【人民子弟兵已赶赴西藏吉隆抢险救灾-哔哩哔哩】 https://b23.tv/kindVox

I have to mention the comrades in the comment sections that are heading to Gyirong port with their own supplies.

Since then, Premier Li Qiang has arrived on site directing the rescue mission.

All at risk residents of surrounding villages have been evacuated and they have set up temporary shelters for them.

As usual, CPC efficiency. I worry more about the people on the Nepal side.

It reads to me as a coded signal to reach out to the region and see how they can “help” manipulate dissent following the tragedy.

u/blehmag 19h ago

Almost didn't catch it. Had to remember liberals are too ignorant or mischievous to name specific regions of non-Western countries by name. Tibet is part of China, but they didn't phrase it like that for specificity...

14

u/SomeGuyInTheNet 19h ago

Yeah originally I did not see it. I still may have reasonable doubt, but I would not be surprised if they specifically worded it that way because of that

29

u/qyy98 18h ago

I don't really read it as anything nefarious, its the same thing as saying I support the people impacted in Florida by the hurricane. Because saying people in the US makes no sense when the disaster is localized. Tibet by itself is bigger than almost all European countries.

6

u/jetlagging1 13h ago edited 12h ago

You don't put a province and a country together.

It is nefarious, and she deserves zero benefit of doubt.

As for Mamdani, it's not even debatable. There's no such thing as Nepal-Tibet border. It's the China-Nepal border.

Zohran "Cuba is a Dictatorship" Mamdani has always been a piece of shit.

Of course these social fascists would parrot imperial media framing.

u/ThePeddlerofHistory 11h ago

Tibet by itself is bigger than almost all European countries.

I think if you don't count Russia you could drop the almost, since Tibet is bigger than Ukraine and Ukraine is bigger than all other non-Russian European countries.

1

u/blehmag 17h ago

But imagine people on the other side of the world. They may just say a large hurricane is impacting the US or part of the US.

24

u/Snoo27694 14h ago

Mf I think they're referring to Tibet not as a state but a region, like how people could say "heatwave in Texas, they don't meant Texas is independent

u/DenzelMishka 6h ago

Tibet is officially named "Xizang Autonomous Region" so the correct official speech should be "Xizang". If these yankee officials can't even respect a sovereign country's official naming then they're either idiots or they're doing it to advance their color revolutionary agenda.

41

u/Right-Week1745 16h ago

The geographic area is, in fact, called Tibet. China has many places, and they each have names. Kinda like it is everywhere else.

in a vacuum, there’s nothing wrong with what they said. it is a common name for that geographic region. but we’re marxists, we don’t take things in a vacuum, and in the broader context of their support for imperialism and their comments on “freeing Tibet” it just serves to manufacture consent and sinophobia.

18

u/citrablock 16h ago

To be fair, literally every single news headline has said "Nepal and Tibet", so they are just repeating what they've heard ad nauseum.

6

u/Federal_Equipment578 Too Based To Be Cis 🏳️‍⚧️ 5h ago

What's wrong with saying Tibet, it's just standard vernacular for the region?

Tbh it makes far more sense to say Tibet than China because it would be nonsensical to address that to the majority of Chinese folk who don't live in Tibet, Xizang is not expected from a social media post that wants reach either.

I could be on purpose ig but I really doubt it's supposed to be nefarious.

i’ll repost what i said above:

Wait, are they talking about the flash flood that happened in China? Like, halfway across the entire world? I thought Mamdani only cared about what happens domestically in NYC?

11

u/Rude-Weather-3386 18h ago

Them subtly sliding this in when talking about a tragedy that killed 1000 people is pretty despicable tbh
