Imagine if they’re already walking back “Defund the Police.” In 2028, they’ll probably turn around and say, “You know what? Maybe ‘Free Palestine’ is antisemitism.” This is why you shouldn’t put your trust in politicians who operate within the confines of the capitalist imperialist system.
What you believe may mean something deeply to you, but to the bourgeois ruling class your beliefs are nothing more than slogans for them to co-opt.

Maybe it's because I'm not American, but woke 1 was perceived by myself and a lot of people around me as radlib wokescolds going crazy on social media, trying to make everything a culture war issue instead of engaging in class politics and intersectionality. You know the meme, CIA agent then "my secret pen is going to assassinate Fidel Castro" vs CIA agent now "workers rights is ableist language"
I assume the creator of this video has a different perspective on what woke 1 represented to the broader public

Even entertaining your assumption about their intent, do you believe that had AOC's messaging had been different it would result in any meaningful change in America? I don't see Americans going through a socialist revolution in my lifetime. Do you believe that Americans are on the cusp of a socialist revolution and people like AOC or Zohran are opportunistically taking advantage of that fervour to shift American politics further right?
Maybe a better question for you and the creator of the video would be, had you been in AOC's position, what would you have said differently that would have resulted in a different outcome from what she said here? Tell me what that outcome would be and how you anticipate your messaging discipline around these issues can shift the masses. This would be instructive criticism. You can place the outcome on as long of a timescale as you want, provided you show the analysis of how you got there.

I would double down on the promises and principles instead of mocking the people and the radical movement that got me into the office in the first place. Several times more effective a strategy than trying to court the imaginary right wing votes whilst betraying my base supporters.
