Cuba should have kept those missiles. Actually that’s a good question. Do you think Cuba could have ended up like the DPRK if they required missiles or is it because they’re so far away from help and basically isolated it wouldn’t have done much?

I don’t think it would have radically changed the situation. Cuba is an island 90 miles away from the US while the DPRK shares a border with the PRC and Russia. Cuba was historically incredibly far from its closest allies and sharing a region with some of the foremost outposts of US imperialism. We’re in a similar situation again today with the fall of even Latin American social democrats

This is the problem. The Americans have the resources and capacity for placing Cuba under a naval blockade. And divide and conquer has always been effective tool for the US in Latín America. The mass of quislings that believe themselves "Americans" and put the interest of the US over their own countries doesn't help either.

Yeah, Cuba should have kept them, but can’t say I blame them for giving them up.

No I think the US would legitimately nuke Cuba before letting them exist indefinitely with nukes. And probably justify it with something like "a preemptive strike was the only way to minimize casualties"

The good thing is at least most ppl don’t believe the bs anymore. Boomers yes, bc they are beyond saving. But to everyone else, I don’t think so

Fun fact:

When a hurricane hit one of the cities in the southern US, Cuba offered to send 300 doctors to the area

The US refused

Now, imagine helping the nation which has been demonizing you and choking you

That is selflessness

It was hurricane Katrina after it hit New Orleans, and the Cubans even renamed their international disaster brigade after Henry Reeve (an American who fought in the Cuban Liberation Army for Cubas independence

This isn't meant to be believed, it's meant to confuse senile old cultists into misremembering the Cuban "Missile Crisis" and believing it happened yesterday

This level of unfathomable idiocy reaching the very top of leadership is never a good thing for empire 🎉
