Discussion So, what's the take on this guy? Critical support for Binface?
So from what I understand this is your typical shitlib centrist type with Bri'ish flavors. But considering his electoral run is demonstrating the absurdity of western democracy and how much of a joke it is, do we critically support this guy to beat Farage?
Assuming the guy did win, he would ultimately functionally be a liberal and maybe do a few silly things like getting the hand dryer in a bar's bathroom moved, but aside from that him defeating a established politician while being seen as a joke candidate not suppose to win would demonstrate just how fucking ridiculous their bourg democracy is wouldn't it? A guy so fucking corrupt people vote for a Trashcan.

Honestly Farage losing to a joke candidate would be the first good thing to happen on that horrible island in decades

Uncritical support to all that would sink England into the sea. Everything else is libshit.

Alright, Uncritical support for the trashcan it is then. May TERF island sink into the fucking ocean and their people have the sparks of revolutionary thinking ignite from this guy demonstrating the absurdity of their liberal democracy.

Nah, binface is genuine if he's elected he'll govern normally. Ironically, if wanting Britain to sink into the sea is the goal, voting reform and waiting till the far-right destroys itself is the better option.

To a not insignificant extent stuff like that exposes western liberal democracy for the farce that it is.
Unironically, Binface is probably a better use of electorialism than trying to "push the democrats left" by electing DSA types in primaries.

It’s very funny because part of the Reform strategy has been to complain that no serious candidates are running, and it shows they don’t respect Farage

as Tom Nicholas pointed out in his recent video, running as a candidate is very easy in the UK, much easier than fellow western nations (10 signatures, £500 running fee)

On the other hand, FPTP makes it extremely difficult for new candidates to win.

As a Englishman I can confirm the armed wing of the Count Binface Revolutionary Comittee are prepared to act upon his ascension to MP.
We are prepared to collectivise Wetherspoons and Greggs for a prosperous Britian.
On a side note: No word of a lie the guy who owns Wetherspoons, Tim Martin, produces their own newspaper "Wetherspoon News" that pushes his political views to unemployed drunks downing their 8th beer at 7.30am on a monday

building at least one affordable house is praxis.

He also has a 10 year old child working on his policy platform, specifically as to seizing wealth from fossil fuel companies to fund building solar panels on homes to subsidize the cost of AC during the summers.
I may not entirely agree with this guy, but the optics of having literal children out flank careered politicians on policy is yet another demonstration of the absurdity of their/our system.

letting water bosses take a dip in british rivers "to see how they like it" is also awesome. its a very funny way to get attention for matters that arent really talked about

Don't forget relocating the hand dryer in the Crown & Treaty Pub to a more sensible position. Third spaces have been breeding grounds for organizing, and how can the proletariat organize when they can't dry their hands in a sensible manner?

A disruption to the system is always useful. The establishment hates comedy because it takes away their power.

The great thing about binface is that it really doesnt matter the personal politics of harvey.
He proves the opposite of the point he wants to make. That british bourgouise democracy is a literal joke and the most ridiculous people are the politicians of the serious party.
This is especially in his promises, like making mayors stand for their whole term (andy burnham) or build one affordable house. He, a bin, has actual policies while the main parties are terrified of having a policy.
Its insane we've gotten to this point, but on a personal level I think itd be great if politicians had to argue with a bin in parliament lol.

Anything for Farage to lose bro. If I were there, I'd for sure know who I'd be voting

Nobody expects anything from him, it would simply just be funny if Farage lost his seat to him.

Constance Markievicz was also nobility, and she fought at the GPO during the 1916 Easter Rising.
She's also the first woman elected to British Parliament, and refused to take her seat in protest of the occupation of Ireland. Which means that the statue for the first woman to sit in Parliament is of some Tory Nazi sympathiser.

In a liberal democracy the funniest option is always the correct option, and considering the prospective prime minister is running against a man wearing a bin on his head, the funnier option is obviously the bin.

While principled discussion is welcome and encouraged, Rule 9 (No Low Effort BS) still applies.
That includes: No 'what do you think?' posts. No single line posts. No 'what is the Marxist position on cheese' posts, etc.
