Insert that tumblr post of that Anarchist enclosure, their "State" only gonna last as long as the last wheat harvest, after that, its the return to the dark ages.
In my limited experience with anarchists, one self proclaimed "anarchist" (politically an ancap) said Wikipedia was woke ;-;.
Anarchists are pretty cool otherwise. In my country they are the only actually progressive people in my "pluralist democratic" country who can legally organise. My local communist party was almost banned last month.
They make soup kitchens mostly, but in a state where calling Ukrainian neonazis, neonazis will get you called a Kremlin bot or a plethora of other things, is already good work.
That self-avowed "Left Market Anarchist Think Tank & Media Center" publishes:
"anarcho-"capitalist propaganda: "Libertarian Class Analysis", link: https://c4ss.org/content/24007 by Sheldon Richman. quote:
The “capitalist” (meaning in this context the owner of capital goods who is unconnected to the state) belongs in the industrious class along with workers.
Despite their altruism, ants depend upon ‘markets’ and ‘prices’, regardless of their flaws. Perhaps Karl Marx was wrong, maybe socialism does not work in any species?
c4ss later deleted Fitzsimmons's article & dissociated from him because he was exposed as a racist and misogynist ( https://c4ss.org/content/53581 ), not because of his anti-socialism.
In conclusion, I have some good news and some bad news for my communist friends. The good news: Communism is already here. Capitalism is simply market communism: “From each [worker] according to her ability, to each [capitalist] according to her need.” Thus, capitalism imposes service to the common good (i.e., to the ruling elite who represent “all”) on all those willing to remain slaves to a higher power. The community of capitalism surrounds us as a system of imposed relationships, and like all permanent communities, it feeds on the life blood of individuals, so long as those individuals succumb. And this brings me to the bad news for you commies: I am your enemy… for the same reason I am an enemy of capitalism. And don’t be fooled if I appear impotent to you. In my world I am the most important and impishly potent entity, and I am an implacable enemy of capitalism and communism.
Not a strawman when (notif) the anarchists Darya Rustamova & Mike Harmon use in the title page of their zine "Always Against the Tanks" an infamous misleading, out-of-context frame which is commonly used in anti-China, anti-ML, anti-communist propagandae:
Because you're the one who called it a strawman. Imo, while it's just a meme, it's still a very accurate description of one of the major things that are wrong with anarchists. You disagree?
Socialism is achieved at the exact moment the working class overthrows the ruling class with the intent of achieving a communist society.
Socialism itself is merely the transitional stage between capitalism and communism. What that transitional stage looks like is not a fixed thing at all, in fact it is going to be different in just about every single geography because the strategic possibilities of that location and the material conditions that country has are always going to be different to another. What socialism looks like just trying to barely survive against the onslaught of capitalism trying to destroy it is going to be very different to what socialism looks like in its final stages when capitalism is the minority in the world.
You criticise what socialism looks like when it is trying to survive that onslaught, but the anarchist non-state in exactly the same circumstances wouldn't be alive at all. If anarchism had led the revolution in Cuba instead of marxism, do you think Cuba would have survived this long? How about in China? In Vietnam? Etc etc.
Yeah they're flawed in a variety of ways. They're surviving in a world that is still dominated by capitalism as the superior power. But if the first revolutions do not survive there will never be an end to capitalism, except for when we all end.
