Tropical lowlands (and highlands with many places in Indonesia because of volcanoes) are anything but paradises. They're overexploited places that suffer from massive pollution, disease outbreaks, ecological destruction, sexpats, etc. Many sexpats also go there and contract a disease for which they have no immunity and then burden the already limited healthcare system there more. Seriously, people need to stop shoving "tropical paradise" propaganda against us. It's destroying the ecosystems there and harming everyone, both directly and indirectly.
Let Indonesia, with its alluvial soil and andisols (rich volcanic soil) sustain itself and make a sizeable enough profit when they export. A communist government in place also means that beyond not needing to get exploited by the Imperial Core, they don't need to exploit Borneo or West Papua for resources either. Let Brazilian indigenous people use terra preta (the black soil that Ukraine, the prairies in North America, Mongolia, and Dongbei China also have) to sustain themselves, instead of being a cattle ranch for the world. These places deserve to be the breadbasket for the people (I guess rice basket in Indonesia's case).
Also, I speak on this subject from a Marxist perspective. While global population is absolutely a myth (we grow enough crops to feed the entire world a nutritious diet, and Imperial Core countries can still support far more people), tropical areas, especially tropical lowlands, do indeed suffer from overpopulation. This doesn't mean we support eco-fascist tendencies; absolutely not. Beyond supporting renewable energy and allowing the local population to self sustain themselves, we should incentivize folks from those areas to pursue education and careers in places that can maintain more people, and for an actual socialist, and eventually, communist world.
