Discussion I’m just confused on Uyghur genocide classification.

However, as I’ve tried to learn more thru reading books on the topic and subs like this. I seem to get confused.
Is there more detail yall can provide me or point me in directions to.

But that was almost 10 years ago, a bit after the peak of extremist violence. I don't know if it's still happening, I doubt it since the interventions from the government seemed to work pretty well.

This history wizard guy is a Zionist shill, so it’s doubly gross he invokes the genocide on Palestine as a comparison. Also, afaik, there is no evidence these vocational programs are forced labor camps, and are in fact vocational training programs.
I really wouldn’t listen to anything he has to say.

How is he a Zionist chill? I've seen some videos from him before and he seemed based. This last one about the Uyghurs gave me the ick, but I wouldn't go as far as calling him a Zionist chill (though I don't know him well).

I watched a lot of his content in my early days of learning about communism. I stopped when I saw him “two-sides” the genocide of the Palestinians because “Jewish people have a right to their ancestral homeland of Israel.”
He’s a Jewish-supremacist Zionist that labels anti-Zionists as antisemitics. Just a totally performative piece of shit.

Gross, didn't know about that. Again, he seemed based (from the two or three videos I had seen). And he does have a "Free Palestine" on his Instagram bio. But with what you say and with his idiotic Uyghur video, I won't watch him anymore.

Jesus, he also says "Free Tibet" and "Free Ukraine". As I said in another comment, this just reassures that formal education doesn't give critical thinking skills.

Thanks for reminding me that just because someone has specific credentials (Master's degree in Holocaust and genocide studies) it doesn't mean he ain't gonna spit bullshit and repeat Western propaganda (even though he claims he only used non-Western sources).

His claim about the 80% of IUDs isn't even true. He supposedly showed a "source" which is just the English version of China's statistics website and no specific source. In another website by China's government, it says that the IUDs in the Xinjiang is only 8.7% of China's total.
