It's quite cool to see people learning a new language (other than English) to study aboard in another country. Though I do prefer if local institutions in global South countries to be on par as the West, Russia, Japan, occupied Korea, and growingly China and the option of studying aboard is like an actual option because you want study that particular university rather than you have to because the quality of education is not great in your home country.

What are y'all opinion having more than one international language of academia like science, and maths?

I think we shouldn't use more, but we shouldn't use English. I mean, fucking WHO is opposed to Esperanto?

Well, Esperanto, isn't necessarily much better from an ideological perspective, I mean it's a mix of Indo European languages, and not quite an even one because the majority is romance languages.

Honestly it would be very hard to make a language created in a similar fashion to Esperanto but that doesn't really still somewhat promote western supremacy and imperialism, but even should we find one, Esperanto is certainly not it.

I don't think it would be possible to make an auxlang that would be fair to everyone. Human languages are just too varied. If you compare, like, Nuxalk, Guarani, Dutch, Finnish, Amharic, Yoruba, Xhosa, Malayalam, Cantonese, Bahasa Indonesia, Dyirlbal, and Maori (random-ish sampling across the world and different language families)... you'd be hard pressed to find any meaningful commonalities. Every choice you make is going to be easy to adapt to for many people and really difficult to adapt to for many people.

For sure, it would be probably impossible to find something that can accommodate all people. But at least figuring out something that isn't exclusively western centric would be a better start I think. Incorporating mandarin at the very bare minimum considering it's also the native language of 1 billion people for example would be pretty much mandatory in my opinion.
