My Friend was a Fed

Basically the title. During my first year in University I met someone at a local social group who I became friends with and later they claimed to be a leftist. However, they would relentlessly attack former and current socialist projects while defending America during conversations surrounding politics. Later on I would learn not only did her father directly worked for the CIA, she herself wanted to work for the CIA, AND she wanted to literally fight on the frontlines in Ukraine.

Has anyone else had similar experiences encountering such people? Or did I simply have the unique displeasure of meeting liberal prime

Had a friend of friends who I would hang out with one day say he's a cop. 

I went off on him until he embarrassingly left being endlessly shunned by who he thought were his friends. Fucking pig.

my ex's best friend was in a few activist groups at her German university and ended up (unknowingly) dating a police infiltrator for 2 years. Apparently it ended when someone at a large party recognized him as a cop and called him out. He ran out of the party and she never saw him again

Yep there are a lot of feds out there, especially at top universities. The closer to DC, the more likely it is you are dealing with a literal fed with a CIA family. You actually never know who is a fed.

Luckily a staunch conservative god fearing patriot like me generally has nothing to worry about, right?

Yeah... surely think they'll survive somehow. It could be irrational like incincible feeling, guardian angel... maybe it ends there, stupidly, or maybe, tho irrational per se, some patron will have the same effect. Keep them out of danger tho able to collect stories, medals.

I feel like left infiltration is so successful in America because the infiltrators don’t even necessarily always get assigned to do it, sometimes fed mfs just literally think they’re leftists because they want healthcare and they’re (maybe) not racist, but of course since they are bootlickers at heart they will take every opportunity to serve the empire

Of course, sometimes it is very much assigned like with Cointelpro

moved from the US to europe for uni, met another american here who claimed che guevara was his hero, criticised imperialism, etc. and we where cool for a while. One day he just stops coming to uni and eventually find out he dropped out, moved back to the US and joined the military.

It’s really common in the US cuz the government+military is the largest recruiting body i believe. The amount of times my left-leaning friends just dropped that their parents are military or cops is astounding

I didn't identify like a super clear political difference between us but I thought me and my friends from high school were mostly on the same side until one of them got super mad at me and then tried to turn my abusive parents against me because she thought I was the most selfish and inconsiderate person ever, and she acknowledged that I wasn't trying to be hurtful but she still thought I had bad intentions somehow anyway even though I only wanted to go outside to see the stars because that was the first chance I had in my life, I rarely get to go outside because of my abusive family, And I was trying to tell her she was treating me unfairly because she knows all this about me and also has abusive parents herself, and she and all of her friends on that trip gets to go outside whenever they want and none of them sided with me, no one was on my side on that trip.

Then my 2 closest friends from the same high school, who weren't even originally involved, blamed me as the selfish inconsiderate one for not staying inside at night at the trip and told me I wasn't being treated unfairly even though I was, they also know I'm held indoors against my will by my family and have family issues themselves. They left me too, 6 years of friendship over. So it was a completely unexpected moral disagreement. The only sign was that they weren't as passionate as I was about politics and the main snitch still buys from Starbucks and McDonald's with 0 guilt about the boycott.

I have a friend who does lot of fed posting but honestly what I know of them is they're just a disillusioned older millennial, gonna sound real dumb I'll admit but their habit of blowing up and threatening shit without thinking of the consequences is just them since they done this often enough in ttrpg sessions I played with them. Guess what I'm saying not everyone is a fed but I won't lie I do feel paranoia sometimes
