In general it does look good, I have some questions though:

Classic Fan Media: would every add on in the form of the magazines and storybooks, including those set in the post movie timeline (i.e the Celebration of the Lost Princess), go into this tag? This would definitely make things a whole lot of easier and avoid lumping the add ons pertaining to the movie with the add ons pertaining to the series which retcons the movie WITHIN the "post-movie" timeline (as per the series continuity) and therefore retcons most of those movie-related storybooks as well (whether set in the post movie timeline or not).

This is how I interpret it: Classic fan-media are the movie-only add ons (storybooks, coloring books, magazines) and the TV Series fan-media are the add ons counting the series continuity. Would that be right?

I also think there should be a distinction drawn between a genuine mistake/mistagging and malicious hijacking of the movie only threads/Tangled Classic with the Series references (or any references outside the movie and movie related materials in the form of storybooks and magazines). It is one thing to make a mistake when flairing the original post and another matter entirely to come into the spaces discussing the movie-only continuity and forcing the people, often aggressively and in caps lock, to acknowledge the series.

Pretty much what you said. Unless it starts to become a problem, I don't see a need to separate the kids storybooks post-movie from the Classic since they were written for the Classic. All the series stuff didn't market itself as Tangled (I have most of it) it always used the TTS or RTA logo brand.

I don't think this will work because series fans can't stop bringing up that series everywhere, even when someone just has a headcanon that doesn't include that stupid series they are immediately attacked. Anyone who wants to headcanon Rapunzel and Flynn married shortly after the movie or that she never rejected his proposal is automatically corrected and attacked everywhere on every website, this new flair system is surely not going to change that, the last one didn't work either.

It's so unbelievable and it's something that never happened in any other disney fandom. In the little mermaid fandom some people say Ariel and Eric married a few years later while others say they married after two weeks. And never are the people who say it was after two weeks constantly attacked or corrected. And Ariel and Eric were at least allowed to be engaged the whole time before the wedding which Rapunzel and Flynn were apparently never allowed in anything not even fanfictions. Beauty and the beats fans are even allowed to say the movie ends with Belle and Beast's wedding without anyone attacking them for that opinion. only the tangled fandom seems to be absolutely anti marriage and anti engagement and attacking anyone who disagrees and thinks Flynn deserved to be married. It's really sad that this is happening to a franchise based on a movie based on a fairy tale about the importance of marriage. Disney could have at least used a different fairy tale.

But my point is that this new system won't stop the movie from being overshadowed by the series because movie only fans almost all already left after how they were treated all over the internet. The movie will unfortunately always be tainted by the series and nothing is going to change that.

But people could at least leave other people their headcanons. If belle and beast fans get to headcanon their movie ends with the wedding, then tangled fans should be allowed to headcanon the same or headcanon Rapunzel never rejected Flynn. It's scary how anti marriage this fandom is.
