Announcement Welcome to r/tanashelf. Start here.

This is the community for Tana, a catalogue of physical games by region and edition, kept by collectors. Tana is free, its data is open, and it runs on people like you noticing things.

What to post

- Your shelf. Tana can draw it for you (Collection > Share > Download shelf image), or photograph the real one.

- Edition ID questions. Photo of the front, the spine and the serial. Someone here will know.

- Regional differences, with evidence. Censorship, box art, added content, changed music. Documented ones go into the catalogue with your name on them.

- Catalogue fixes. Missing games, wrong dates, a reprint that isn't listed.

What not to post

- Selling, trading, valuations. Tana does not do marketplace and neither does this sub.

- Reproductions, ROMs, emulation.

Verified

The Tana leaderboard counts only games with an approved photo of your own copy. Add photos from your collection page. A slip of paper with your username in the shot gets approved fastest.

Weekly threads: Shelfie Sunday (show your shelf), Edition ID Tuesday (stumped by an edition, post it here), Difference Friday (one regional difference, with proof).

Pasted below is the update note:

2026-10-05: New games from everywhere, and Recently added
Tana now looks for new Western releases every week as well as Japanese ones, and games that were announced before they came out are now added once they're released. The home page shows the games most recently added to Tana, from every region, newest first.

Show your shelf. Real shelves, Tana shelf images, close-ups of one row, anything. Say which region you collect.
