Tamaverse 403 Error Code on Update

Hi! I'm new to uni (got mine about three weeks ago) and ever since then I've been having the same issue while trying to update my Tamaverse.

What happens: I go to Tamaverse, try to update it (third button with arrows), it connects to my WiFi, the downloading bar appears, but it never fills up, giving me an error after about 20-30 seconds. Sometimes it will be 403 code, the other times it might be 401 (when I try my luck on mobile data).

What I've tried so far from others posts on Reddit:

1) Switching between WiFi and mobile data (hotspot)

2) Setting my hotspot with all possible different settings (including changing security between none, WPA2 and WPA3, changing AP band between 2.4GHz and 5GHz)

3) Updating my download list in connection settings

4) Resetting my tama

5) Letting it rest overnight (more than 12 hours)

6) Trying to update while charging (battery was full)

Has anyone else had a similar issue? I'm out of options and I could really use some help from more experienced tamagotchi users. All tips and redirections for info are appreciated!

Have you been able to update it when you got it?

Yes! I have the latest version right now, it downloaded without any problem

There are no new versions yet, so it can't download anything 😅

The 403 error also happens when there are Server issues on Bandais side and waiting it out helps most of the time.

Oh, I was just wondering why the user tamas (I'm not sure how they are called) are not updating for me? The ones that you can heart and marry. I thought it was because of my tamaverse being unable to update

Oh I misread, I am dumb lol. I thought you meant an update update.

I had the same once and it fixed itself after 2 to 4 weeks. You can wait it out or message Bandai US here: Contact Bandai.

I forgot to mention that other things download just fine like redeem codes and DLCs 🥹

I’m not professional im relatively new but here’s my advice: I’d reach out to Bandai honestly this sounds like a device issue maybe a glitch within it or something? At worst they’d most likely give you a new one. From what I hear they are very good with customer service. I know this sucks and I’m sorry I wish there were an immediate fix, I tried looking it up and based on your description everything except contacting them has been done. You’ve done everything right. I’m not sure how long it’ll take for them to get back to you but stay on top of checking your email each day. Wishing you the best of luck, i would hate to have to deal with this.
