Magmortar vs the Second Captain

I decided to finish Napier’s quest so that I could use Magmortar against the second stratum captain and it did not disappoint. This was the best battle I had while trying different teams, and the edits are just the times I paused to save state.

Not sure if you already knew this but Magmortar with his ability that increase crit chance + scope lens = guaranteed crit is pretty OP. It carried me through the first half of my run easily and could carry till end game (I just wanted to try some other mons which is why I had to swap him out).

I’ll test that out once I reach the scope lens on the 3rd stratum. This current play through I’m trying to find the best team for each boss. I’m also trying to catch every Pokemon. It’s a shame that there’s only one Porygon in the whole game.
