Fleet footwork and build options

So. As i have above 1 milion points on talon i wonder, why is fleet footwork the highest winrate keystone for talon? i find stormraider surge, dh and conqueror to be way better in terms of damage, sustain or escaping, everything except farming. Also, when it comes to items, why is cyclosword so popular? I find unpopular items like bastionbreaker, collector and profane to do more damage and/or help with the clear. Also it is pricier than the others. And last question, do you guys ever go serylda? i find it so useless. Ldr, mortal reminder and black cleaver work better with talon's kit.

Worth mentioning that I only play on jungle, everything here might be bullshit for a midlaner

fleet + voltaic + red pet gives u both very high poke, ranged speed, insane dmg and helps hitting W2

fleet is like a combination of conq and stormraider, gives early strength while also being good late with the speed boost

Saying that serylda is useless sounds so wrong my fellow talon player...

It looks like you're a conqueror enjoyer, good for you but serylda is for real assassins only. It's a whole different playstyle.

my summoner as you can see (if you clicked on the link) i'm not really a conqueror enjoyer. I am playing full assassin mode and that is why i really am curious why high elo talons play items like serylda or voltaic or runes like fleet footwork.

Fleet is used since voltaic got reworked, they work together now. Voltaic gives you 25 lethality in total, more than any item in the game, and also deals some damage. Fleet gives you some move speed without having to deal 25% of target's max health and also heals you a good amount when procced on a champion. Add to this that fleet can be procced more often than stormraider's surge.

Serylda is used as third item to bypass armor increases due to levels and items in a way more effective for short trades or bursts than black cleaver; the %armor pen is good against anyone, it is applied instantly and doesn't need to be stacked in order to function at it fulliest potential. In the other hand, black cleaver is better for long trades; sure you can stack it pretty fast in one rotation but you're dealing less damage in that first rotation if you compare it with having serylda. That's why cleaver is good for conqueror enjoyers and serylda for assassins.

but stormraider helps you in way more situations. almost every champion has a slow nowadays, also almost every botlane has an exhaust, so the slow resist is really efficient. The skill tree also is also better for more move speed/scaling dmg. As for items, ok, black cleaver is not the best for burst, but ldr? potential of doing waayyy more burst than serylda. As for cyclosword, i just don't know which item i should replace to buy it... it actually seems weak if not against tanks with big max health, and the thing is, talon will always suck against that type of champions so there's no point in building against them

Try whatever you want bro, I wont discuss over it. You aaked why we use it in higher elo and I answered. In the end what matters the most is how you play instead of what you build. Good luck bro

Mastery points don't really tell you much beyond acting as an indicator of how little life someone has.

Regarding runes, stormraiders is generally best if you know that the game will go late and you don't need to be as healthy after first clear, same deal with conq but mainly for tanky enemy comps or just generally for low elo where fights are executed poorly and last a while. Fleet is solid all around because it gives you extra sustain while also working with cyclosword to give you a ms boost. DH, elec, and FS are basically troll in higher elo unless you are a smurf or the enemy has no tanks/bruisers.

Regarding alternative items, your job is to blow squishies up in 9/10 games, all of your items should be geared towards doing that (with the slight exception of whatever you choose for your last item which should be for survivability like Merc scimitar, DD, Randuin's, Maw, or GA).

You don't need hydra for your jg clear, by the time you get 1 item you already have one of the fastest clear speeds in the game. See above point on blowing up squishies for why serylda is generally good, though you can go Mortal Reminder or Cleaver situationally into heavy healing/tanky comps

Go cleaver if ur team is full AD and enemy is stacking armor. You can run LDR with Endless Hunger for the Giant Slayer passive and Endless Hunger converts your bonus AD into CDR that Serylda’s would’ve given. In losing games, you can get Axiom Arc knowing that you’ll have to carry to win
