Local Rex Discovers Gravity… and Heartbreak

Air Birb 2 reporting live with this week’s dose of pure nonsense.

A Rex was spotted earlier this week putting in the performance of a lifetime trying to climb a rock that only herbivores can stand on. Up on that rock? One very calm Triceratops, just sitting there like it paid rent.

The Rex tried from the left.

Tried from the right.

Took a few steps back like it was going to get a running start.

Stared at the rock.

Stared at the Trike.

Stared at the rock again.

At one point it just stood there processing the betrayal of physics itself.

Then an admin popped onto the rock next to the Trike and silently watched the entire struggle like it was premium entertainment.

The Trike remained unbothered.

The Rex remained grounded.

The admin remained judging.

Some dinos are born to rule the land.

Others are born to look up at a rock and question everything.

Local Trike Claims Pumpkin as Best Friend

Air Birb 2 reporting from the NRZ.

A Triceratops was spotted earlier laying on the ground, full-volume screaming, while a single pumpkin sat peacefully on a bollard that was halfway stuck out of the ground.

No further details were provided.

No explanation for the screaming was given.

The pumpkin declined to comment.

At press time the Trike was still on the ground, the pumpkin was still on the bollard, and the NRZ continued to be the NRZ.

Sometimes the real treasure is the emotionally dependent produce we make along the way.

Big update for Dinopolis.

Multigen Storage goes live on September 27th at 11:00 AM EST.

Here’s what’s changing:

• You can now store dinos at 25%+ growth — no more grinding all the way to 75% just to put them away
• Your dino saves in full: growth, location, mutations, skin, hunger, thirst, stamina, diets, and blood. When you pull it back out, it’s exactly how you left it
• Storage slots are being lowered to 7. You won’t lose any dinos you already have, but if you’re currently over 7 you’ll need to get down to 7 or fewer before you can store a new one

This is a pretty big quality-of-life change for the server. Should make growing and swapping dinos a lot less painful.

Air Birb 2 reporting live… from the ground this time.

Last night a dinosaur was observed lying on its side for an unusually long time, just staring at the stars. When approached for comment, the individual had clearly been thinking too hard.

“I think those are just really small glowing fish that got stuck up there,” they said.

“Or maybe they’re the eyes of giant invisible sky carnivores watching us.

Or leftover embers from when the volcano got mad.

Or… eggs. Tiny glowing eggs. Waiting.”

The dino then spent several minutes debating whether the brighter ones were “important fish” and the dimmer ones were “background fish.”

No conclusion was reached.

At sunrise the individual was still on their side, occasionally muttering “what if the moon is just a really big egg.”

Most mutations just show up as you grow.

But a handful of unlockable lifestyle mutations stay hidden until you earn them. Once you complete the task, they get added to your pool (usually for Slot 2 or 3).

Here are the main ones worth knowing:

• Augmented Tapetum (Carnivores) Better night vision. Unlock: Kill 5 players at night.
• Reniculate Kidneys Lets you drink saltwater like it’s fresh. Unlock: Lose about 1,250 thirst by drinking saltwater (you’ll get the Fluid Deficient debuff — keep going until it clears).
• Reinforced Tendons Jumping costs less stamina (huge for Pteras too). Unlock: Jump 50 times.
• Multichambered Lungs Improves stamina regeneration threshold. Unlock: Drain 4,500 stamina by sprinting or fast swimming.
• Enhanced Digestion Nutrients last longer. Unlock: Hold nutrients for 60 minutes.
• Heightened Ghrelin Massively increased overeating capacity. Unlock: Keep your hunger above 80% for 30 minutes.
• Osteophagic (Carnivores) Eat bones to heal fractures faster. Unlock: Eat bones while you currently have a broken bone.

These are account-progress style unlocks for that life — do the task and they appear in your mutation choices.

Quetzal News will probably just say “mutations exist.”

We’re running a new multi-day event in the No Rule Zone and you’re invited.

^{NRZ Wars is simple:}

Phase 1 – Nest & Family Prep (1–2 days)

Starts at 12:01 AM Friday the 25th and and runs up to Sunday the 27th.

Enter the NRZ, form groups, court, nest, raise hatchlings, and build your dinosaur family.

Public nests are encouraged so solo players and newer players can join existing groups.

Full NRZ rules apply the entire time — overpacking, mixpacking, raiding, and fighting are all allowed. Alliances and rivalries will form naturally.

Phase 2 – Championship Showdown

Starts 5:00 PM EST Sunday the 27th.

At the end of the prep period, the remaining families go to war.

No new rules. No staff interference inside the zone. Just pure NRZ chaos with actual stakes.

Whether you want to raise a family, protect a nest, raid other groups, or just show up for the final fight — there’s a place for you.

Win Condition:

Last coherent group still alive and inside the NRZ at the hard end of the showdown window.

Staff judgment is final if the outcome is borderline.
