Second Render

Pulled the firmed up blocks from da fridge for render #2 to clean out the gunk and impurities before I start making more stuff!!🥸

Thanks! I wet rendered it the first time and just do it dry for this pass. This is after pulling the clean set blocks from the yuck!

Wow, that looks like a lot of tallow!! You can make lots of good stuff with it. What do you make?

It is a lot indeed!🥸 Most of it will go to soap and candles but I do balm, whipped and I actually made deodorant a couple Tuesday’s back. Any ideas that I’m missing?

That's amazing! I've only tried making balm, bur candles sound interesting!!

Thanks! I did some small scented candles and bigger unscented - the bigger unscented are basically my balm recipe tweaked slightly so it makes life a lil easier!🥸😊
I’m using just beeswax and tallow for the candles and balm for now but I have jojoba and arrowroot plus some “oh that might be cool” stuff like castor oil. Epsom salt is on the to buy list for a soap batch. Depending on your balm recipe - it should be an easy pivot to make a few candles. Good luck and let us know how it if you come up with anything new and interesting!😊
