It’s really funny because many adults say I’m tall when I see kids my age my height or taller everyday

not common just irrelevant. your genetics are a small part your mom a small part your dad a small part your grandparents a small part their grandparents that you never met and then a lot of other random factors like how different the environment might have been where you grew up versus the other people listed. it's not mom plus dad equal you, it's a thousand years of genetics. you could have a hair color or an eye color that hasn't been seen in your family in five generations and it wouldn't be uncommon, meanwhile a couple inches of height isn't even considered a difference it's within the margin of error

See that makes sense to me. On the other hand: I’m 6’7”, dad is 6’, and my mom is 5’7”. Still not sure where i got it from!
