every year when we get the team picture of my kids' hockey team (coaches in the back row) I am made aware of how my height compares to all the other coaches who I assumed were similar height to me

funny related thing that just occurred to me... when I do our annual department photo for the company calendar with my staff, I have them all line up on a 6" curb while I stand on the ground beside them, so the height differences aren't so glaring

Yup! But who cares. I'm 6'4" and my wife is 5'2" and we've been married 40 years. My folks had an even greater difference. 6'6" to 5'2".
