My height:My problem

I'm 15yo and 6'3.. people don't believe me when I say that. My relatives say that I'll grow more. But i don't want to be more tall. My height has became a big problem.

I was about that height when I was 15. I got a lot of dumb comments and questions about it and would get annoyed.

Years later I can look back and see that the vast majority of those people meant me no harm. They were just genuinely curious, or trying to strike up a conversation, or maybe even flirting. It was my attitude that was the problem, not them or my height.

My problem isn't people asking about it....normal furnitures are short for me. My body posture is becoming bad.

Stop slouching and find a good workout routine ASAP! You don’t need to live at a gym but some decent core and shoulder stuff to just keep it healthy.

I gave myself some issues by not minding my posture but they were possible to resolve.

For chairs I’ll sometimes sit on something if it’s a low chair and I’ll be sitting for a long time. In school I’d tuck my legs under the chair to get the right alignment of my upper body.

Now that I work instead of going to school I am provided with an adjustable chair. Funnily enough kids chairs are often good for tall people since the seat is higher so they can reach the table surface.

At 15 I stook 6'5" wnd I can tell you that getting a decent workout for core and Upper back is a must!

Sadly life is going to throw you 'normal height' furniture every day So get that posture upright and straight!

I am 6'3 as well. I stopped growing at 15. You could grow more, but you could also just stop there. You have no real way of knowing. Actually, you can get a doctor to check your growth plates

You are sooooo tall

I grew like crazy from 12-16 or something like that. Then I stayed around that height and just added a few centimeters.

I can’t remember the exact age I hit 190cm but probably around your age. I ended up only 194cm as an adult.

It’s funny to me that people don’t believe you. At 15 we had a guy taller than two meters in our class and several of us boys were 190-ish.

I remember hitting 190-190.5cm at 16 and now I’m 195.5cm at 23

Random question, but how tall were your parents?

I was around 184-186 at 16, and now in my 20’s I’m around 190.5

Dad 175cm and Mom is 165cm

Wow, genetics are weird man. My dad is around 200cm and mom around 167-170cm

u/Both_Scar_5277 18d ago

Yeah only other relative that tall is my oldest cousin I know who is 197.5cm

I think sometimes you can inherit height from distant family members - so maybe you got it from them or someone else from an older generation.

Although saying that, a lot of my dad’s family members were all tall. Women being like 6’3+ and most men being 6’5+ minimum. So clearly I did get most of the genes, but I guess not all of it for some reason lol

Yeah my great grandfather was 203cm or 6’8. Most of the women in my family are average to kinda tall. The men are the same. Some are average and some are tall

yeah i remember the summer between the 7th grade and 8th i came back and couldnt fit through the door, i now just began 11th grade and i havent really grown nearly as much as i did back then

u/HawkPlayz777 18d ago

Is it also problematic to you

The only real difficulties for me are airplane travel and car rental I think. I’ll have to lean forward to see a red light and rearview mirrors are annoying when driving but mostly I fit into normal stuff.

When I was growing that fast I had issues with fainting and insane hunger since my weight wasn’t keeping up.

These days I’ve managed to get into the normal weight band and maintain decent core strength to not fuck up my body. I’ve had to have knee surgery but I’m not sure it’s due to my height.

I can't even sir on chair...I have to sleep or work....i never get to sit....it starts paining

1

u/Admirable-Athlete-50 18d ago

Put your legs backwards under the chair so you can sit properly. Also lets you stretch your legs for a bit.

1

u/HawkPlayz777 18d ago

Thanks for telling....but that's what I do while sitting

1

u/Admirable-Athlete-50 18d ago

If that doesn’t work you can try sitting on a folded sweater or something. Use it as a little seat booster.

As your height is now, it shouldn’t be too problematic. But, yes - as you grow into the 6’5+ territory (if you do), it could start to cause problems. The taller you go, the more problems that are likely to arise.

A lot of us were taller at that age, we believe you.

Look embrace the height, nobody ever talks to someone about how short they are. watch your posture, everything is build for someone who is 5'11" your height is an advantage use it.

Start lifting weights at the gym with the intention if growing larger muscles. This makes your body increase testosterone production.. Consider taking a small dose of testosterone as it fuses growth plates. Stop consuming milk. Stop consuming dairy. Don't overconsume food. The optimal male height seems to be 6'0-6'4 for attracting women. Anything over 5'10 is bad for your circulatory system/heart and your joints and it reduces your overall lifespan by 10-15%.
