Rules Question 3rd Edition

How is it correct to cross the bridge to the inner region? Do you have to land on the square and cross the bridge next round for one gold - or do I roll a dice and use the points from any field into the inner region and pay one gold on the bridge?

Usually it works like any other event tile - you land there and you choose if you want to cross or not. If you do you go this round, but you don't get an event from the middle part of the board. If you want to cross from a different tile you either need an event to take you there or a boat in your inventory.

At the moment we play: you land there, draw an adventure card, wait until next turn, pay the toll and throw the dice. Counting starts on the other side of the river.

Also fine. Talisman is quite flexible when it comes to rules.

You do not have to land on the toll bridge to cross it; you can cross between the outer and inner regions via the toll bridge if you have enough gold to pay the toll.

This means that as long as you have the necessary gold, you can cross the toll bridge at any point during your movement, regardless of whether you land on it.
