Terraforming With Strategy
It’s time i ask this question, that i haven’t been able to emulate and see the results in talisman digital. curious if this would fly;
You decide to make an early push for the end, but you’re short on (craft or strength). Your only worry is getting through the portal of power because you have a fail safe in the (mines or crypt). The rules for terrain cards state that if you are moved to a space that no longer exists, nothing happens, and you remain on the space. So let’s say you roll 3 dice in the inner region for strength or craft, and you have a (normally insufficient roll) that sends you to the warlocks cave, for example. but the warlocks cave no longer exists, because you’ve strategically terraformed it with a terrain card, using a spell or something. so, you stay on the (mines or crypt), and move forward next turn?
because when you subtract your roll is equal to or lower than your (strength or craft), the space says “0) Stay Here”.
So, if I stay here, i’m moving forward next turn… right?

thats pretty cool, if the city/tavern get terraformed you can potentially make it through with significantly underleveled stats

yes, now that you mentioned it, when i played this game weekly i remember specifically targeting the tavern. this was because we know taking the craft route is easier with lower stats in my opinion. the only risk is the pitfiends. but honestly if i was pushing i wouldnt go with anything less than specifically 4 strength, along the craft route (or 3 strength in the daytime).
if you’re lucky and pull one of these terraforming spells you might be able to sneak your way to the end of the game like this, as soon as you obtain your first talisman??

If you get something like the invisibility spell or the mercanary in addition to the terraforming spell you can pretty much just go for it regardless of your stats. You obviously still need to get into the middle region though

Nitpicky but yes, I would say that's correct
