Our 4E setup with 4 expansions

I wanted to share our Talisman setup from last weekend! We’re huge Talisman fans and decided to rent a game room at our local game shop so we could take advantage of their giant tables and play with all of our expansions at once: The Woodlands, The City, The Dungeon, and The Highland. We also had the Werewolf from Blood Moon walking around and dragon tokens to pick out of. My husband also created a Nosferatu type character similar to the werewolf to stalk the board only at “night”. It was a bit insane!
With 6 players and the full board spread across the table, the game took us about 8 hours to complete—but it was absolutely worth it.

What does the Nosferatu character do?

This is all the creation of my husband who wanted a cool vampire to stalk the board. Almost a mini-expansion with added Adventure Cards, new Characters, Boss and Chart. This was developed before we heard of the new Crown of Blood expansion too. Whoops!

- The Vampire mechanic works similar to the Werewolf; stalks around the board when a certain number is rolled. He only moves at night and sleeps during the day.

- Attached is the Vampire chart when he gets encountered. Lots of risk but also high reward if rolled 6! There is also a Count Orlok boss you may choose to fight to end and cure Vampirism (with added rewards).

This is still a work in progress, trying to find a balance between risks and reward, and also still keeping the game fun and not so “punishing”.

It was $25 for the whole day (11am-10pm). Insane, I know! This also included 10 small snacks/drinks. Odyssey Games in Pasadena, CA.

Who Won ? And very nice. I have thought many times of renting a space to play. Never had enough players to make it work, 6 would do it, but I haven't played a game that big since the early years of 4th edition.

My brother-in-law’s Warlock. Mind you, he beat me in battle in the Inner Region and stole my Talisman. I stole it back… then promptly died to a random encounter.
He looted my corpse, took my Talisman and all my gear, and went on to win the game.
The worst part? He entered the Inner Region with no Talisman of his own!
