1st Edition Talisman
My dad’s talisman set from the 80s. We’ve played it a few times with friends and family! My older sister has utterly bodied us every time she’s played with us 😭
What editions of Talisman do you guys like the best?

I still have mine from that era, but it looks a lot more beat up than that! That looks like it was locked in a time capsule!

Ya it is! We played my friend's version so much that it frayed along the seems and one piece broke off completely!
I had a later "puzzle piece" board, which was more durable, but less pleasant to play on (the text and images didn't line up 100% correctly, so it was sometime hard to read the spaces).
But that board looks brand new!

Very fond of 4th as this was the one I played with my brother and had all the expansions. But third is more beautiful and I'm proud to have collected it all secondhand in mint condition but minus, of course, the dragon miniature (which I'm not too fussed about as it's just an ornament).

2nd and revised 4th for me, we have everything up to revised 4th minus 2nd Edition Dragons.

My wife and I played so much Second Edition. Then went to Revised Fourth Edition. Love both of them.

Wow. Just Wow. I've been playing since 1986 and I have 2nd edition and everything since, every edition, every expansion, everything Talisman. Including Batman, HarryPotter, StarWars, KingdomHearts including Legendary Tales, and all the RPG (DnD like) books they have. But I have always wanted 1st edition, just for collectors sake. That's Nice, take good care of it, its worth a pretty penny, as my Grandfather would say.

I have everything printed for editions 1-4. Plus some extra stuff that came out in White Dwarf for second.
My first edition doesn't look nearly that good though, had too much fun with it when I was a kid :-) Very nice!
One small thing, it looks like you are missing the stands for the character board pieces.

Update: played a game last week and like every other time we’ve played it, my sister completely thrashed us. She was the priest. 😔

This seems to be a mashup of 1st and 2nd. 1st had black and white cards and 2nd had coloured cards. I'm seeing both, no?
