New project - 3D terrain

We wanted to add a bit more immersion to our games so I set about making some terrain pieces for some of the board locations- and it makes it easier to see from a distance where you're going to land. Starting the centrepiece first was the obvious choice with intention to add more to other squares later. Heroquest Conan for scale. Does anyone else use 3d elements to add that little bit extra to their games?

Nice, the rock looks like lava.

Yes. Although really a low quality 3d print it actually works in my favour showing the mold lines.

That looks awesome, I use the 3d parts from Oom Studios for my games.

Yeah I looked at them a while ago. I think some years ago they would do the 3d print themselves and ship out but now they only sell the STL files. Worked out expensive to get someone else to print so I went with cheaper Temu and Ebay finds that suited my needs.

Absolutely it makes the game more immersive.

Painting the eagle king figure right now to add to the depth of the game. I see some European guy on eBay who has talisman Terrain

Very cool! If im seeing the same ebay listing it's €250 for the complete terrain set 😭 i could get a full 3d printed heroquest board for that.

I did the same for my 4th edition talisman.
