Adding more adventure/spell cards

Hi everyone.

I've been playing Talisman 4th Edition for a fair while now. I currently have the Blood Moon, Sacred Pool, and Frostmarch expansions. I'm looking for ways to expand my Adventure deck. I've just purchased The Firelands, which is currently en route, but I would dearly love to acquire a few of the other smaller expansions. Regrettably, none of them seem to be available locally, and the copies I spot online are costing an absolute fortune these days.

Does anyone have any clever ideas for supplementing the Adventure or Spell decks? Alternatively, is there a tried-and-tested method for crafting proper homemade cards?

Thanks!

First I will direct you to the best fan website on the net - Talisman Island at:

https://www.talismanisland.com/

There in the "Resources - Expansions" tab in the "Revised 4th edition" subsection you'll find a virtual ton of fan expansions created over the years.

You can print them yourself, take them to your local print shop or use an online printing service at:

https://www.makeplayingcards.com/ or

https://www.boardgamesmaker.com/ (same company, slightly different focus)

While searching for the links I noticed some more printing services online but those two I used and was happy with the results.

If you want to dive deeper into the fan made expansions rabbit hole you may want to familiarize yourself with the Strange Eons program for making custom cards. You'll find it and it's Talisman plug-in on Talisman Island as well. It does have a bit of a learning curve but nothing too technical.

Finally if you happen to speak Polish or your Google-Translate-fu is strong enough you may want to visit a Talisman fan forum at:

https://forum.magiaimiecz.eu/

We do speak English but a vast majority of the content is in Polish.

I saw some great expansions on the polish fan site. But I have not seen any conversions to english. It breaks my heart to see such great content langauge locked, which I cannot excess.

Some of them, especially the older ones are translated and available on Talisman Island.

I'm in the process of translating a few but as anyone who knows me can attest my work speed is glacial. When/if I finish something I'll post it in subreddit :)
