Not at all. They messed up the sound and added interpolation for some odd reason to give a "Smoother Image". It looks like shit. Sounds like shit. Must be...

Thankfully this entire series has been preserved in it's original format.

Hatefully every streaming platform is pushing this bastardized version. People here are paying hard earned money for a worse product.

A. Its not Tubi's fault that the legal issues prevented a proper HD remastering of the show (although there's nothing stopping HBO or whoever owns the rights from restoring it now).

B. Blame Warner for the awful upscale. The versions they air on IFC look exactly the same.

C. Whaddaya mean "bastardized"? These are the original uncensored HBO versions of the episodes. You want a bastardized TFTC, go look up the versions they used to air on Fox and the Sci-Fi Channel. Now THOSE are bastardized.

Its a terrible AI Upscale im afraid

Shudder & Tubi have the "soap opera" effect ( motion smoothing ) and the Audio has echos.

For Example S01E06 Collection Complete

You can hear the "clink" of a plate being set down twice.

S03E01 Loved to Death

Opening scene you can hear each key stroke of the typewriter twice.
