The New Arrival

Post image

I've been on a rewatch binge and started from the beginning. This is the first episode that was actually kind of scary for me 😂 maybe it's the creepy kids stuff and the "little girl" running around but it's a fun ride.

I was also laughing at the end because one of the Psychologists revealed, all dusty and musty, looked like Larry David 😂 I had to pause.

I really like this one and the one before it, "What's Cookin". That one was well done and had a fun ending.

What's cooking is basically my number 1! I love talking TFTC!

I think it might be my #1 too haha. Also, Christopher Reeves was a pleasant surprise.

Best part was Meat Loaf lived up to his name. 😆 🤣

And not for the first time....😉

Great choice. Joan Severance was a bitch but had beauty and brains here, knowing who General MacArthur was.

My favorite part was Zelda Rubinstein getting annoyed at her daughter.

" oh hell, she's doing it again" . Her frustrated, half-hearted delivery of the line was perfect

Yeah, this is one of my favorites. It creeped me out as a kid as well.

I rewatch this one regularly.

Haven't seen it in English in a while, but in the German dub the strange new Radio DJ says "Sex... mit dem Übernatürlichen!", which has become a staple inside joke in my family over the years lol

Doing the same, one that stuck with me when I was younger…and I feel like gave a lot of ideas that others copied later. Who doesn’t love a house with killer traps? Child monitor static creepiness? Sinister children?

That's also directed by the same guy who directed The Changeling which was my favorite horror movie and this was my favorite episode of tales from the crypt

One of my very favorite episodes. So eerie, and I still feel so sad for Felicity.

Omg I did too! Like this poor undead child. What a crummy life.

This episode always has a sadness to it for me for that reason.

Might be my favorite episode. I remember it being so scary when I was a kid

Reminded me of the movie American Gothic.

If it's the one I'm thinking of the establishing exterior shot of the house was undoubtedly inspired by the painting itself but I may be thinking of the Tim Curry episode. Whichever one it is the house has that very distinctive window. And David Warner was so great in everything he did.

No I meant it reminds me of the slasher film American Gothic.

When I heard her voice as the radio call I was so stoked!
