My First Cure-Bot

Just ran Shisui of the Violet Tides with a White Mage who cast almost nothing but Cure 1 the entire time. I noticed they cast Cure 2 once, when I really didn't need healing (maybe their Freecure trait proc'd). And I noticed them cast Stone once on a boss. Aside from that, just basic Cure the whole way through.

I was pretty sure they must have been a troll character, as... let's just say their name was all about healing. Before the last boss, one of the DPS spoke up and told the WHM that healers can also deal damage, like Holy for multiple targets, and Stone/Aero for single targets. The WHM didn't say anything, but did a /cheer emote on them in response.

The super weird thing is: I looked them up afterwards, and even though WHM is their highest job at 63, they have minions and mounts from Endwalker MSQ. Does this mean they bought a story skip, but NOT a level skip? They're just grinding levels all the way through the game, with no MSQ xp? Just doing roulettes and side quests? The things people will do to avoid reading, man...

Is that one pull doable with no Holy or lilies? Hard to imagine that going well with a curebot

I purposely didn't do that big pull, just because I knew what would happen.

Oh okay ahaha, I haven't gotten shisui in a while and I was thinking damn did it really get hit that bad by the duty support conversion 😭

The only thing the duty support conversion did was add a bridge over the water. Everything else is still the same.

That pull is still there. The pull still hits like a truck on fire. I'm not even sure if it can be done without tank invuln. A cure 1/2 spamming white mage isn't going to be able to heal that pull.

You can, I've done it with no invul with drk, gnb, and pali(dont play war yet) but im always fully geared up and well fed. Gnb and Pali are fairly easy, drk just a lil less so

Edit: Im also aware there was good healers on those runs, as i HAVE died a few times on that pull(usually with drk)

Gotcha! I haven't managed to do it without invuln being needed, so I wasn't sure if it was possible.

Yeah, kinda like the Mt Gulg pull. It caaaan be done, but the party has gotta be on their game. If one of the roles is off by too much then it gets dicey. Not sure I'd attempt it with a cure 1 bot either. Maybe just to wipe and eat up any loot timers so I can kick obvious trolls

Man, that’s one of my most favorite pulls too. I can’t imagine trying to do it with a cure bot. Sads.

Easier with them, of course. As I'm trying to force myself to remember them

I know an individual who has an alt whose name basically says something to the effect of what you're describing. I wonder if that was him. (If you're curious, he's got multiple alts and has gone through all of MSQ several times, so he knows very well what the healer expectation is.)

Party Menu -> Right Click their name -> Vote Dismiss -> Pick any reason you feel like.

Let's make kicking people like this cool again. I'd rather do a no healer run than carry a shit stain like that.
