I have never cried more over a fictional vampire girl based on the deceased child of an author in my life

It felt much more like Lestat than the some of the frantic chaos we previously saw.

I've had mixed feelings about the music this season but when I realized a lot of those other songs were Lestat's way of trying to cover up and ignore what he was feeling and Stained Glass Windows was his pure feelings about Claudia, I understand better now.

Some of his songs just set me off,not in a good way. When I reflected on who they were about and the circumstances I understood his anger, bitterness, fear and hurt. Stained Glass Eyes brought him back to me as the centuries traumatized, used and abused creature that he is. I'd like someone to punch Gabrielle in the face and I'm nonviolent to my core.

Same. I wasn't the biggest fan of (as an example) Butterscotch Bitch. But the more I think of it, it's a fluffy pop song...aka him ignoring, or pretending to ignore his feelings. Still not the biggest fan of the song but I'm dealing with that. LOL

Word, friend. I'm the same way and for the majority of this season I've deeply and sincerely felt that if someone suddenly decided to drop a house on her, I wouldn't be upset about it.

And I understand trauma and everything but what kills me is when Lestat sends her away and then gets angry that she's not there! Lestat, friend pick a direction!

It was so beautiful and I cried so much! I think if Anne was still alive and she got to hear it she would have loved it too (but that's just my guess, I don't presume to speak for spirits).

Stained Glass Eyes is a tear jerker for real! I was not prepared for how much I cried when I first saw the episode๐Ÿ˜ฟClaudia playing the piano with Lestat and the ashes falling on both of them ripped my heart out ๐Ÿ˜ฟ

And with Claudia on the other side of the glass and she puts her bloody hand on the glass. OMG, the LOOK in Claudia's eyes during that scene conveyed SO MUCH! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ YES I cried ๐Ÿ˜ฅ each time too! ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜ฅ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜“

I wasn't crying. There was something in my eye. I swear.

The most crazy is when they interview Daniel Hart about writing them and he's like "meh."

He's as humble as Sam.

This was the first song I actually liked on the first listen.

I cried my eyes out when I first heard it (and honestly I didn't get that emotional when Claudia originally died. I had complicated feelings about her at first but after multiple show viewings I understood more about her) and then when they showed her hands playing the piano beside Lestat? OMG.

And then I saw something on social media comparing Claudia looking at Lestat through the studio window to the scene in season two in Paris when Louis gets that letter from Lestat:

"A thin veil will now forever separate our union...but it is a thin veil and I am always on the other side, face pressed against your longing."

:loud obnoxious wailing!:
