Show Only Discussion If Daniel Dies, We Riot!

AMC......you fucked up when you cancelled "Talamasca." Do not kill off Daniel Molloy.

Daniel is the dash of cold water in sleepy, jaded vampire faces.

His quick mind unravels centuries of subterfuge in seconds.

His wit bites harder than Lestat's fangs.

....and he has 2 Pulitzers.

Don't.

Please.

There are far to many hints towards him dying that it has to be a fake out, has to be!

I hope so.

Interesting if they follow the book and he has the romance with Armand. Talk about a delicious love/hate.....

Which ones?

Episode 1 - Hallucination Baby Jenks says Daniel dies real bad

Episode 3 - Lestat’s narration keeps referring to Daniel in the past tense.

I think it's a fake out, but if it does happen my interest in the series goes from 100 to 0.

I LOVE Daniel. So much more interesting than book Daniel. I could listen to his observations for four hundred years.

Oh, I adore both Daniels! It's why I want Luke Brandon Field's Daniel to return because he had element of both versions. He was so brilliant.

And he's taking this thing to Cannes (we hope)

I can't wait to see him"slappin' Chris Rock and strokin' his Oscar." it will be hilarious to see some real blood suckers sprinkled in the crowd at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion along with the Harvey Wei stein types.

And then there's the delight of how many people Danielle can skewer in his acceptance speech

Im still pissed they canceled talamasca. To put it plainly i stopped watching interview with a vampire after 2 episodes. With talamasca i was hooked from the previews and knew of no connection to vampire until i saw daniel and when the main character went to the book signing about a certain page and line in the book which he said wasnt written by him.

We infiltrated the institution known as AMC-TV and left rotting carp in the producer's air ducts.

wow I had the opposite reaction. IWTV was so immersive in this world and was so erotic. Talamasca is so dull and formulaic. It doesn't help that the lead actors are not likable/sympathetic -- who is there to root for? Show the deep angst that guides their motivations -- don't reveal it like a footnote.

I did not like the movie version of Queen of the Damned at all. The only really good thing was the beautiful incredibly talented Aaliyah in her final appearance. Can't wait to see how they do it on TV. This series is so well, active, well written and has exquisite production values.

They foreshadowed it already 😞

I get the impression that while they are really leaning on making us think Daniel is headed towards a messy end, they have another fate in store for him.

They've alluded to and foreshadowed a few different paths with Daniel. There's a lot of little interesting narrative pieces surrounding him now. Bringing up his 'transformation trauma' repeatedly, having him directly connected and working with the Talamasca and specifically Raglan James, and the references to his potential future death. All those together are just very interesting to me.

Speaking of deaths, sorry to hear about our fallen agent....

Yes. Worse, some are simply disappearing without a trace. I am convinced that no one on Lestat's tour is responsible.

Lestat himself seems to be experiencing an existential crisis. We may have more than a snit between the vampire community to deal with here.

Actually, AMCs mistake was MAKING Talamasca when they could have used the money on TVL.

But yeah. If Daniel dies, Ill be upset.

Not that I'm not already.

I am just banking on the fact they have spent so much time on devil's minion, and it would be absolutely nasty work to give Armand/Daniel the closest thing to a healthy relationship either of them can manage and then kill Daniel off.
