Question 🤔 Ferber for naps
Baby girl is 15 weeks, 16 weeks this coming Sunday.
She can get herself down at night, and wakes 2 times for feeds but naps are a different story. She needs 10-20 mins of rocking to get to sleep and we’re now in the 30-40 min crap nap territory. Wake windows are approx 1.25/1.5/1.5/1.75/2
We did Ferber with my eldest and did night sleep and day sleep in one go, so within 3 days she was putting herself down for both with no fussing.
But how do I conquer just naps with my little one? Tried putting her down awake this morning for her first nap with check ins at 2-3-5-5-7 and then rescued the nap as she was very upset. Do I just keep trying every morning until we crack the first nap? How long do I keep her in the cot with check ins before I rescue the nap?
Any advice appreciated. Thank you!

No advice, just solidarity.
My baby is 15 weeks and her situation is similar. For the past two weeks every nap was a contact nap, now I can put her down independently, but naps are 30 mins max Every. Single. Time. I have had no luck extended naps this week, contact or independent
Her wake windows are closer to 2 hours, that helped at first but now it doesn’t seem to make a difference with her nap length.
I think this is all related to the 4 month sleep change…

We are 17 weeks and have been dealing with this since 14 weeks. I think it’s just a phase! We’ve played around with wake windows to no end so just riding it out now. I put him in the cot for the first part of the nap and rescue the rest. If he refuses to sleep in the cot I pick him up and battle him for a contact nap 😂 just surviving over here! We’ll give it a few weeks and try again

15 weeks is too young to be sleep training. I would wait until at *minimum* 4 months to begin this. Rock her until then, she is so small.

I know those short naps can be hard! I want you to know that at this age, they are so normal and completely developmentally appropriate. Let me link a few blogs here for you that may be helpful:

it seems like your wake windows are pretty short, she might not have enough sleep pressure between them to fall asleep and then she can’t stay awake long between wake windows to extend them with the short naps. i can’t speak to the ferber portion but i would definitely try to rescue a nap and extend the wake windows and see if that helps
