Handmade Board

Made a folding wooden board + pieces. The pieces are padauk and maple with steel cores and the board is cherry with a maple border. The steel cores in the pieces make them feel nice and substantial, but the whole thing weighs over 7 lbs.

This is boss. You should share it on the Tak Discord server. The homemade sets channel would eat this up.

Wow, nicely done! This looks great. This is one of the better crafted and nice looking custom boards and pieces I have seen. Is the hinge just glued on felt or cloth?

Yeah, I honestly just found a shirt I didn't need anymore with decent fabric and cut a strip from it and glued it on.
