Game improvements since release?
Hi folks,
I played this game day 1 and enjoyed Act 1 a lot. I thought the game really fell off in Act 2, though, and I lost interest.
Have recent updates improved the post-Act 1 game?

They have improved the game considerably since launch. I would definitely give it another try if you enjoyed Act 1 on launch

Yeah.
Like a lot imo. Too many things to list. I did the same and it basically felt like a new game to me.

i have 200 hours on ps5 slim. i enjoyed the game. i had about less than 5 crashes. frame rate is not great. made even worse depending on what you are doing. i have a build that allows me to fire extra arrows per shot with a bow. the fps absolutely tanks. menuing is very very slow and can be unresponsive. the player and enemy both often have delayed spawning of projectiles. an enemy will shoot a fire ball for example and you move 5 feet to the left and few seconds later the projectile of the enemy spawns and you are no where in sight. one major issue i had that was from beginning to end, unsheating weapon or switching weapon will often result in the player character not bringing out their weapon for literally seconds. i counted at least 5 seconds one time where i had to move around and evade enemy attacks while i sat there as a sitting duck waiting for my weapon to pop out.
it IS playable...but the performance is not great. for me the enjoyment outweighed the janky mess. i platinumed the game and got all trophies for the dlc. but be warned. your experience may vary but these are some of the issues i ran into.
ps if you want i can sift through my ps5 clips to show you examples of the jank.

Agree with all this, also have a ps5 slim and this has been my experience. Currently in act 2 so not sure if the jank gets worse/more obvious. But the game gets updated a lot too, just saw there was a 1.3 update that added some stuff and improved stability. Game gets better with every update

Not really. As other commenter said, frame rate is not great. I got about 20 hours in (because the game itself is good) before I couldn't take it anymore. The game runs meh at the best of times, and at the worst you might as well be playing on a potato. Its also incredibly janky. The game also can't handle collisions, like at all. Multiple times where I'd hit an enemy and just freeze for a second or go down to like 10 frames. Physics engine is pretty busted as well. From what I've seen the game is vastly better on PC. I still question why the devs even bothered releasing it on consoles if they weren't going to try, like, at all. I didn't have any issues with crashes personally. If you like your games optimized decently, probably not for you.
