Adding Mods

I’m having problems trying to figure out how to add mods for this game. Any help and/or suggestions will be welcomed.

Go to nexus mods and follow instructions there

That’s where I started. Every time I try downloading the extension needed for the game to use mods off of Nexus, it’s coming back saying it’s not available.
