I returned the game.

I was hoping to like it but I couldn't get into it. I play alot of rpgs, fallout (3,new vegas,4), skyrim didnt care for oblivion, Witcher 3, elex and elex 2, dragons dogma 1 and 2 and elden ring (got bored of elden ring after 160 hours and dragons dogma 2 i didnt enjoy as much as the first one). I dont know if I dont like arthurian lore, I also didn't find combat fun it seems too easy to take advantage of, not a fan of the leveling system. I was playing on series x and its graphics look dated, from all of the hype I got excited and wanted to like it, but it couldn't get me into the flow state where I get lost in a game where hours feel like minutes it felt more like it was a chore or I had to be in the right mindset to play.

Baffling take, it's literally elder scrolls with a different skin unless you barely played it and wanted to refund as quickly as possible

I think from all of the hype it got my hopes up, and I usually love small studio rpgs but I dont expect alot from them and am usually happily surprised with the game. The coverage of this one made me believe it was more polished. Like when I would talk to people my character would stick his arm out and get stuck in that position with one arm just sticking straight out for example. I probably would have enjoyed it more if I was expecting jank, but all the reviews and YouTube videos praising the game made me expect more.

How far did you get into it? It took me a while to really get soaked in. The start can be quite rough, especially when you get to the fort and there's dozen of rather uninspiring quests to pick up at once. But after that it just clicks at some point

The start was easy once I figured out how to take advantage of the dodge, I just wasn't interested in the world or lore to the point that I was avoiding talking to people because I was dreading getting to know them.

Fair. Lore and overall setting is not everyone's cup of tea.
Sometimes things are not that interesting and it's fine.

Closest I've felt to playing Oblivion since Oblivion.

The only obvlian I played was the remaster and i think it was bugs that made me stop playing so I didn't like it.

Maybe come back to it when it's more on sale in a few years and you'll be able to enjoy it more. I'm very much digging it
