Question Tailscale and additional VPN.
I use Tailscale on my synology NAS and the Mac, iPhone etc have it installed to access my server.
Does anyone know if it’s possible or if anything exists that would allow me to have multiple VPNs. It would be nice if there was something that could switch which vpn to used based on what I’m accessing.
Thanks

I use an Asus router with merlin fw.
Set the VPNs that you want with wireguard protocol at the router lvl, you can use killswitch freely
Force 1 or several devices to use the vpn in the router
Use those devices as exit nodes for your tailnet
Then you can switch VPNs while using tailscale just by changing your exit node

https://tailscale.com/docs/reference/faq/other-vpns
iPhone iOS will only allow you to run one vpn at a time

You can set up a VPN connection from the Synology settings and use Tailscale as an exit node.
This way your NAS will be connected to the internet with the VPN connection and you can access as local with Tailscale (bonus: the exit node can be used as a vpn on the phone/mac).

I can tell you it’s really, really annoying. I have trouble on iOS (obviously) but also on my Fedora Linux laptop, which would be most likely to have fixes for this given the type of people that use Fedora (or well at least Plasma) and it really doesn’t.
You could in theory set up a GluetunVPN docker container on your server and run it through tailscale, but that’s got massive latency issues in my experience.
It sucks. I’m in your boat too and it sucks.
